A Charming Hotel with History, Great Location and Potential!
Pros:

After reading some negative reviews, I was pleasantly surprised! The hotel is clearly older, but there's a difference between old-fashioned charm and poor maintenance. Our room was spacious, clean and well maintained, with a wonderfully comfortable bed. The bathroom could use some updating, and there was a slight drain smell. The reception staff were friendly, and the location was excellent!

Overall, a good one-night stay! I appreciate the hotel's traditional character and hope they preserve it. With just a few thoughtful improvements, this hotel could offer an even better experience.

Cons:

Breakfast was the biggest disappointment. The selection was limited, and food was arranged in surprisingly tiny portions. For example, just six thin slices of sausage were arranged decoratively on one platter. With around seven guests arriving for breakfast at the same time, they disappeared almost immediately. Perhaps the intention was to reduce waste or maintain freshness, but more generous portions and regular replenishment would better suit the hotel's image.

The road construction outside may cause noise in the mornings, so requesting a room away from the street might be wise. More concerning was the pedestrian access: metal grating made the entrance difficult to reach safely, and we witnessed a man trip quite badly. Thankfully, he wasn't injured. In Finland, construction sites must provide safe pedestrian access, and I hope the responsible contractor can improve this here too.

These are mostly small, fixable issues, and addressing them could significantly improve the guest experience.

Pros:

The hotel was good. The room had all the amenities. It was close to the central part of the city.

Cons:

The bathroom did not have proper drainage. It kept on getting blocked. It got flooded after 2 people showered which was trouble some for us.
The place was noisy till midnight being close to all the pubs and bars. I could not sleep till then. The music volume comes down only after midnight which is not good for someone like me who sleeps early and was under the weather during the stay.

Pros:

Hotel já antigo mas cuidado. Tinha todas as comodidades necessárias. Piscina interior pequena mas suficiente para refrescar no fim do dia. Pequeno almoço bom. O estacionamento é pequeno, mas foi muito útil e os funcionários fazem um grande esforço por acomodar todos.

Das Frühstücksbuffet war reichhaltig und immer frisch.

Cons:

Die Einrichtung ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen und der Poolbereich wird erst auf Nachfrage so richtig erläutert, als hätte man kein Interesse daran, dass er genutzt wird.

Pros:

Très bien situé, dans un quartier vivant et à proximité des lieux à visiter.
