It’s better not to stay in this hotel and select any branded hotels chain
Pros:

Location, but it’s not worth money - it’s better book nice modern hotel for reasonable price and use car/taxi/bus

Cons:

They freeze 150 dollars as a deposit and not return within promised period - now it’s about week- and money still not returned . Staff is incompetent- for example I ask about ferry boat to Providence ( it’s about 100 meter from hotel) - they not aware

It was comfy and extremely friendly.
Pros:

The staff at the hotel could not have been any nicer or friendlier. The rooms were dated, and I heard from the staff that they are building a new hotel. Everything was clean, and the beds were comfortable.

Cons:

I thought the parking charge at $35 per day was a bit stiff, as we didn't use the car at all during our stay. The location was so good we didn't need to drive anywhere.

Dirty, lazy staff, broken and run down
Pros:

We had a horrible experience at this hotel. They are booked solidly and very very obviously do not care about customer satisfaction. Our rooms had a bunch of things wrong such as broken coffee box, broken TV, no shampoo or body wash in the pumps, our refrigerators were unplugged when we got there so we couldn't chill down drinks for almost 24 hours by the time it got cold enough. There was the same trash and dirty laundry in hallway for the 48 hours we stayed. We reported all things to the staff 3x and each time they said someone would take care of it n, nothing happened. Felt like the Twilight zone. Bunch of zombie millennials on their phones running the joint. Beware ...almost $500/ night for a dirty, poorly run, run down gross hotel..

Newport Harbor Hotel and Marina...THE BEST
Pros:

By far our home away from home. We have returned for 18 years due to the fantastic staff and attention that they give to ALL. Location of the Hotel is ideal, everything is so close, restaurants, shops, Marina, and Bowens and Bannister wharf. This is a perfect summer vacation spot. For us the major reason we return year after year is how we are treated by ALL STAFF. We feel like family with each return visit.
