All the staff were so sweet and the rooms were very clean. It’s very close to all the tourist spots, so that’s a plus.
All of the staff including the booking staff have been amazing. The friends I planned to travel with had health issues & needed to cancel their booking, they were refunded 100%. For me travelling they have also been so helpful arranging tours & restaurant bookings. Great location, spotlessly clean with all facilities a traveller requires. I highly recommend The Philippos Hotel ,Athens
Good hotel for a short stay in Athens. Staff is very helpful. The location is great.
Breakfast is nice but could improve in terms of fresh juice and more variety of eggs, vegetables and granola.
Excellent location, great value, staff very friendly and helpful. 10 minute walk to Acropolis and Planko area. Rooms are very clean. We also enjoyed our balcony.
Loved it
Nothing
The room was spacious and affordable! Hotel staff was extremely accommodating and the coffee is delicious!
Fabulous hotel very close to Acropolis and Acropolis museum. Walking distance to many other shopping & tourist areas. Excellent staff who go out of their way to help with anything. My husband needed medical supplies on our last day and the hotel staff was so helpful with translations and arranging delivery. The breakfasts here are fresh, varied and unique. I especially loved the variety of vegetables, homemade pies, pastries and fruit every morning. The staff take great pride in the preparation and presentation. This hotel is in the older part of Athens, so room and bathroom size can be small. Closet space is very good and rooms include a mini fridge and a safe. Everything is very clean and well maintained. Bathrooms are modern. I definitely will return.
really good location very near Parthenon and Plaka and lots of restaurants, just a few minutes walk and small markets around the corner I had stayed here before so knew it was in a good place! Staff really nice and very helpful so I would definitely stay again
aircon on room 210 didnt seem very good and it was pretty hot!! breakfast a bit average!!
The location was prime with a terrace overlooking the Acropolis. The staff was incredibly nice and accommodating. The breakfast that was included was delicious 😋 and enough to hold you up for many hours. Their sister hotel which was around the corner had an awesome rooftop bar and restaurant where we meet Bill, the best bartender that we have met. He was more than a bartender, he is in artist and loves what he does.
Perfect
Nothing
Positives: very friendly, helpful staff; GREAT location for tourists/families/groups; quiet; nice breakfast buffet; clean; air conditioning was needed and it worked well!
Negatives: very small room; more drawer and closet space would have been helpful.
Philippos Hotel more than exceeded my expectations. It’s listed as a 3 star hotel and whilst the rooms and breakfast probably reflect this, the service level was definitely 5*. I have stayed recently in 5* star hotels in Athens and I can honestly say that the welcome and general service of the Philippos well exceeded that of the higher star hotels. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff and in fact they went out of their way to make every interaction such a pleasant one. The room itself was fine and no complaints. The main thing for me was that it was spotlessly clean, something that is really important to me. The location of the hotel is unbelievable, being literally 3 minutes walk to Acropolis station. Also, it is the same distance to the foot of the Acropolis with all the lovely sights and walks there. In future, I won’t waste my money at 5 star hotels, but instead stay at the Philippos. I highly recommend it.
