Location near a family event
No cooked breakfast ready until much later and rooms very 1970’s
The building is beautiful, set away from the road, being surrounded by trees & fields, makes it a really peaceful location. The rooms are an adequate size, comfortable, clean, with everything you need. Inside is also furnished according to the era, lovely, including some creaky foors, which for me adds a bit of quirk. The staff are very friendly & helpful. Food was good with excellent portions. Having aircon was great as it was hot. Plenty of parking.
I don't know if it is available as I didn't check cause it wasn't a requirement for me, but as the weather was particularly hot, the choice of a fridge would be handy & also useful for people with certain medications. Just an observation, otherwise nothing I didn't like.
Extremely welcoming people, comfortable room
Breakfast was lovely, the staff was really friendly and helpful. The room and bathroom was clean and a lovely size. Bar staff again was friendly, we will book again
There was nothing to complain about.
Without doubt, the winning factor for this hotels was the staff. Nothing was too much trouble and they went out of their way to ensure we were looked after. I travel a fair bit and have stayed in some very nice hotel where service is expected but it was the genuine warmth and the willingness to go above and beyond that made our stay stand out. Not flashy, not super correct just genuine particularly impressive when you found out how long some of the shifts were. The hotel itself is an old country house with some more modern extensions, it is a popular wedding and reception venue in the area which was the reason for our visit. We did change rooms when we arrived because I am a very light sleeper and we found the rooms at the back of the hotel a little noisy from all the air conditioning units outside the room. This was dealt with quickly, with good grace and a genuine desire to ensure we were happy and comfortable. In other respects the hotel is fairly standard fare for this type of hotel.
The staff were great
The hotel seems good and a good base to stay whilst we were there for two days out and about. We didn't try any of the hotels facilities so cannot comment.
The room was tidy but there was a huge amount of dust behind the bedside cabinets which needed hoovering and also the bedroom window didn't open properly which we reported and nothing was done due to the fact we were told the air conditioning was working. Eventually we managed to get the window to open but would of liked someone to check it out for us instead. Unfortunately we had 2 mornings of 6.30am with a beeping which sounded like a delivery lorry. Also the room next door to us kept banging their door at 7am loudly and had the TV on loudly which was disturbing. We tried to be considerate as we had a child its a shame others can't do similar 😔
Breakfast was great very good lots of choices and prompt staff friendly and helpful
Evening meal nice but slightly overcooked but still delicious
Position car park
Nothing
Friendly staff, good meal and good nights sleep. Also close to where our friends live
The room was very comfortable, great breakfast.
Food all cooked to order for evening meal.
The staff very friendly and helpful.
The restaurant was a bit like a doctors surgery very quiet could use some back ground music to lighten the atmosphere.
The evening meal being cooked to order ( a good thing) created a long wait, about 45 minutes plus (a bad thing)
The stay was so relaxing, staff couldnt do enough for us. Bedroom had everything needed, including really nice goodies in the bathroom. Food was nice, good price for drinks,. Friendly service thanks, will be back ☺️.
No spa service, would have just finished the stay off nicely.
Breakfast spot on
Beds, springs pushing through, worst bed been on for years.
Banging doors in corridors.
We love this hotel, have stayed there several times now, great for travelling to Cleethorpes, nice and quiet as well
We don't have the breakfast as I would rather have breakfast while looking over the sea in Cleethorpes, the evening meal is nice but a little expensive, we tend to visit a Chinese or Indian somewhere
Lovely friendly staff
Beautiful hotel
Lovely location
Hotel was dated in places.
The carpet had burn marks on it.
Got disturbed early hours by room next door and people getting in and out of there cars and leaving the hotel.
Pillows were soft but bed was a bit hard and uncomfortable.
