It was a very clean organized and was in a great place to see all of the points in San Diego that I was interested in visiting.
It seemed that the restaurant closed a little early and the bar area. But that's fine.

Spacious rooms, very clean, balcony to sit in fresh air, peaceful, open and light public spaces.
Our room didn’t get made up one day even though we were out for 7 hours, a little disappointing but we were generally very happy with our stay

This property was quite beautiful. It sits up on the hill and is not too large. It was very clean, the room was very large as was the bathroom. I loved having the restaurant there and kind and helpful staff all around. The bed was comfortable too.
The only thing that would have been better to me was if there were ceramic mugs for coffee and glasses for beverages as this hotel is very luxurious. Also, I really needed half n half ( in the small serving plastics) because there was only dry creamer. These are small things that perhaps feedback will take care of.
Proximity to our family.
We were really looking forward to this stay and had saved all year for what we hoped would be a relaxing, luxury resort experience but unfortunately, it fell far short of expectations.
From the start, there were multiple unexpected add-on charges that were never clearly explained until we got there. It felt like we were constantly being nickel-and-dimed. To make matters worse, basic amenities were lacking - there wasn’t even a microwave in the room, which was incredibly inconvenient.
The internet situation was also frustrating. The “free” Wi-Fi barely worked, with terrible reception, and we were expected to pay extra for faster service - which didn’t feel acceptable for a resort of this level.
One of the biggest issues was the lack of responsiveness from staff. We informed them early on that our room phone wasn’t working. Despite that, whenever we needed something simple like towels or toilet paper, we were told someone would bring it up - but no one ever came. We repeatedly had to walk all the way down to reception and insist on getting items ourselves.
Housekeeping was also extremely disappointing. When our room was “cleaned” it seemed like the only thing done was making the beds. The bathroom and shower were still grimy and full of hair, and there was noticeable dust throughout the room. They even left one of their dirty gloves on top of the nightstand.
Service at the front desk was inconsistent. Some staff members were kind and helpful, but others were not very welcoming or accommodating.
To top it all off, our last night was awful. The hallway reeked strongly of marijuana, likely from another guest smoking in their room, and it completely ruined what little relaxation we had left.
We paid nearly $800 for 4 nights/5 days, and honestly, we would have been better off staying at a cheaper hotel where at least we would have gotten more value out of the room - since we never experienced anything close to a “resort” feel here.
