A/c didn’t work in the room. Bathroom fan very loud and didn’t seem to work. Only plug sockets were on the other side of the room than the bad. Mirror above desk was so low that it was impossible to see own hair to style it without kneeling in the floor. No plug near the full length mirror to use as an alternative.
Room was very comfortable and a good size. Apple juice at breakfast was lovely. Reception staff was very helpful and gave me a spare toothbrush as I had forgotten mine. Also liked that you could cast your own screen to the TV.
The only sockets were at the desk. The door from the upper level of the car park feels like a security risk as anyone can get in and bypass staff.
Location
Very low shower
The staff were exceptional!! Very kind and helpful
Sometimes getting to our room was a bit confusing, lots of corridors!!
Lovely hotel, clean, staff are great
Unfortunately we were top floor our air conditioning didn’t work and there was no windows to open so we were too hot and ended up up at 6am due to not being able to sleep with the heat.
Had a recent 2 night stay at the hotel in a king premium room, definitely worth it for the space and extras. Bed was comfy and facilities in the room were good.
We ate in the hotel in the bar area, food and service was good. Only thing that was a shame was that the Italian restaurant, Fratello's, is not actually open in the evening now, so all food is ordered and served in the bar area. This should be updated in the website. When we ate in there on the Saturday evening, it was very busy and noisy due to a large group but staff managed well.
Staff generally were very good.
Only other niggle was the shower gel in the shower cubicle had run out and we reported twice to reception but not dealt with, it was only when we caught a member of housekeeping and mentioned it that it got replenished.
Overall a lovely stay and a good location. Our room was at the front of the building but windows were double glazed so no noise, which was good.
The location, a couple of staff made an effort
We had no hot water one day, we got burned by the shower on the other day. The room was pretty dirty and facilities very minimal and old. And when we asked about the lack of hot water we were told by the staff member: ‘there’s no hot water, I can’t fix it, I’m not a plumber so deal with it’.
The bedroom area was pretty basic in look. The bed was very comfy. The bathroom was pretty good, there was a bath tub with a very adequate shower unit and in general hot water was available all the time.
The wardrobe and drinks area were a little squashed in, in room 212. I guess the room having a Kingsize+ bed in it took away some of the space. If you want a small breakfast, you need to go elsewhere, for a basic toast and coffee for 2 people (if not booked the night before) would cost £30.00
Really comfortable bed and very good breakfast
