The Location was quite good
The Room was smaller than expected
We hadden een groot bed.
Het hotel is een beetje misleidend door de mooie foto’s, aangezien de kamers erbuiten in een gebouw met veel geluidsoverlast waren. De gordijnen konden niet helemaal dicht, wat erg vervelend was met omkleden. Ook liep de wasbak niet goed door. Het restaurant vraagt een ontzettend hoge prijs voor kleine matige gerechten. We moesten een uur wachten op ons eten, wat ook erg lang was.
We vonden de prijs-kwaliteitsverhouding niet goed.

With being above the door at the front, the window was open with the room being hot and I could smell cigarette smoke inside the room from smokers outside which wasn’t great as an asthmatic and non smoker

Lack of comms from staff, reception didn’t mention restaurant closing at 7:30pm just told me to read the A4 in my room.
Boy on spa reception absolutely useless and rude, no introduction or telling us where to go. I went back to ask for towels (in trunks) and he said I’d need to go to reception as ‘we don’t do towels!’
Breakfast was rubbish! Arrived at 9am (after pool and 1 hour before service finished) there was not a one clean table and only one waitress doing everything (not much) alone. Had to ask for milk, pastries and even bowls. Absolutely pathetic and not worth over £200 for one night.
Pool is dark and dingy and the changing rooms smell damp and disgusting

Parking ended up being free, and gym and spa was included in my stay. Gym was well equipped and sauna/ swimming pool was decent.
The whole hotel smells of feet and is very dated. The room was as clean as they could get it, but standing on the carpet with my socks felt as if it hadn’t been properly cleaned in years (was wearing shoes in my room for my stay). I ordered the pasta for dinner, I found 2 cherry toms in my dish and it was not great at all. There’s also only 2 or 3 rooms in the old Manor House, the normal rooms are in an ugly side building that smells of sweaty feet. My bedding had a smell of someone’s aftershave on certain places, as if the housekeeping wear too much aftershave or as if someone had sat on my bed, either way, it was unsettling.
Easy to reach location outside the city. Pool and sauna.
Hotel looks tired. Must have had its glory in the past. Now living in the shadow of its glorious past.

Finally got told to leave towel outside door but still not made up had to ask for new towels and toilet rolls
Room was nice and spacious, not too hot.
The spa was very busy with locals using the facilities. Almost taking over, not very relaxing.
The price I paid didnt include breakfast which seems expensive. Flies over the croissants too.
