Beatiful building and lovely location with potential to be a very special venue. Food quality was good and portions were sizeable. Wait staff were very pleasant.
Very poorly managed. Room was delayed by almost an hour. Bar didnt serve alcohol due to staff shortage. Facilities are very tired and not well cleaned/maintained. Sink blocked. No extraction fan in bathroom. Very little soap/shampoo provided. For a spa hotel the comfort levels were low and the pool was small and unclean. Despite staff efforts to make amends (free drin and breakfast) I do not recommend it for an overnight stay. It needs serious investment to make it a pleasant experience.
The size of the room and the leisure facilities
More attention to detail with regards cleaning - quite a few cobwebs and carpet a bit dated..
Too long a wait for dinner and no apologies or being kept informed regards timings..
Waited 40 mins for our starters and still weren't delivered - so we left and went elsewhere for something to eat 😕

Beautiful inside and out.
Good size room, comfortable, large bed, excellent bathroom especially the shower. Good quality towels. On request, our room was properly serviced every day. Swimming pool was a pleasant temperature if a little small for those who really want to swim rather than just relax. Reception staff were very pleasant and helpful. Location was easily accessible.
On the only occasion that we ate in the hotel, both the busy bar and the restaurant were being serviced by only one person which inevitably led to long waiting times. Our fish was nicely cooked but the chicken was overcooked & we decided not to repeat the experience.
Very nice hotel
Very good value overall on booking.com, especially with sauna and steam room use. I really liked the grounds and trees of this hotel. Breakfast not included in original booking but when phoned reception, said can have as self-service. Basic and nice enough brekkie, especially fresh crossaints.
A few breakfast dishes had marks on them, but they did have sign up saying they were really busy and to help yourself - so perhaps not same breakfast staff they usually have to check on things. As didn't pay extra for it, totally fine!

Breakfast was disgusting No one in the breakfast area to greet you. Not much choice left. No one filling things up. Milk for cereal was off/sour. Plates and cutlery was dirty. The room looked dated. The single bed wasn’t stable. Furniture was dirty and tatty looking. Understaffed in the bar/restaurant only a young lad doing everything who was very pleasant and amenable.
Very comfortable superking size bed. Good quality bedding. Bathroom clean. Bottles of water as well as tea and coffee in the room. Lovely pool to swim in. Very good menu in bar and restaurant. Good value and discount for residents. Not posh but homely feel about the place. No parking fee for booking through booking.com

Decent but not amazing, probably in the lower half of 4 star properties.
A bit dated, smell not ideal, no aircon. Basic toiletries cut down to shampoo.
Pressure in the shower was amazing.
Unable to open window due to a wasps nest outside it. Dirty laundry all over the stairwell, coffee stains all over the wall, chipped bath, flickering lights in bathroom.

The room was a good size, the bed comfortable and the bathroom all to a high standard.
The position of the room on the ground floor very close to reception. Not a problem in itself BUT frequently disturbed at night with people returning to the hotel on both Friday and Saturday nights into the early hours. Then…a contractor turning up at 07.50 am on Saturday morning, parked in a disabled bay with engine running and radio on while he sat scrolling on social media…for a full hour until I made a complaint to reception staff.
Quite aggressive signage in the car park regarding charges which then obviously didn’t apply to hotel residents.
Something not quite right with the ground floor toilets - has there been a drainage problem?
