Clean and well maintained
There was no real comfortable place to sit and enjoy a glass of wine in the evening it needed a more cosy atmosphere
Good breakfast, friendly staff
Bathroom sink had a leak which wasn't new and should have been sorted.
Overpriced. No in room tea/ coffee
We liked the breakfast, including options and variety. Our request for vegetarian and gluten free bread were taken care.
I rarely leave negative reviews, but our 6-night stay (our first long UK holiday in 6 years) was the worst hotel experience I have had in 20 years. What bothered me most was the persistent feeling that this mistreatment was deliberate neglect rather than an accidental oversight.
We specifically booked an A/C room, but got a suffocatingly hot non-A/C room during a summer heatwave. Even the welcome drink was packed with so much ice that it was impossible to drink. Despite noting our child's autism in the booking, the unbearable room heat meant my child could not sleep for 6 nights, leaving our whole family exhausted. The only rest my child got was sleeping 6 hours straight in the car on the drive back to London from Edinburgh. Our daily room change requests were completely ignored.
In a building with over 300 rooms, we were placed in the absolute furthest room, making every walk a trek. Housekeeping never refilled tea, coffee, or sugar, forcing us to buy supplies at Tesco. No hygiene or shaving kits were provided. Water was limited to two 250ml cartons daily, and the main dispenser was out of order. To make matters worse, the pool and sauna were shut down when we planned to use them.
When I raised these issues at checkout, management showed zero care. The response was simply a careless, "better luck next time."
It left us with a very bitter impression. It was hard to shake the feeling that because of who we are or where we come from, assumptions were made that we did not deserve a basic level of comfort and respect. I am sharing this so other families, especially those traveling with special needs or from overseas, know what to expect. Look elsewhere if you want a hotel that treats all guests with equal care.
Easy access to public transport. Easy check in and check out. Decent facilities in the hotel. Some of the dishes were good
Staff were a bit odd in their behaviour. Facilities in the room could have been better. Requests were ignored
Breakfast options, staff was quick to assist whenever we reported the issues. and location
We booked two rooms, and unfortunately both bathrooms had issues. The sinks in both rooms were clogged and drained very slowly. Although the staff responded promptly and tried to fix the problem, the sinks continued to clog. In one room, the toilet flush was very slow and seemed to be partially broken. Overall, the rooms looked quite old and were not as expected. On the positive side, the service was good, and the staff was quick to assist whenever we reported the issues.
The staff were extremely helpful especially the man on front reception desk Morgan , who always went above and beyond to help , first class service.
The bed was extremely hard, but overall great hotel
Maybe the breakfast
Staff attitude
Cleanliness
The room was not cleaned at all.
Bardzo miły i pomocny personel. Smaczne, choć monotonne śniadania. Duża restauracje, więc nie było problemu ze znalezieniem stolika.
Brak połączonych pokojów dla rodzin
Didn’t do breakfast
The place looks like poor conversion from an office. The car park looks scruffy. The toilet roll holder placed in unpractical position. Shower very poor performance. The drinks are more expensive than a five star hotel. £2 bottles of beer in a supermarket priced at £24
Location and okay breakfast, not very expensive,
Pool was closed and very limited gym opening hours. Room & bathroom were not very well cleaned, the latter was very small.
Could do with providing extra pillows.
Friendly & very helpful staff throughout the whole hotel. Bright, clean & spacious bedroom with a window that opens. Great breakfast with lots of options.
Leisure Pool & changing rooms were disappointing Tired, run down fixtures & fittings. Large diameter vent system from an extractor fan was stuck to the wall with black gaffer tape right above the changeroom seating area. One shower in female leisure facility didn't work. Lockers don't work if you don't have a £1 coin. Gym looked very well equipped & clean/tidy.
The room and breakfast.
Dust around skirting boards and on bed heads. Pool could not be used both days of the stay and booked specifically for the pool. No plug in bath but was rectified. Tried to order room service but no answer from reception, or phone picked up and put down. Ended up walking down to order. Poor shower pressure. Toilet rolls 2 half used ones when we arrived. Bought some!
Great
