Very friendly staff, clean rooms and good location. Located directly in downtown and we even got our room before the official check in time. Charvie, Eddie and Joyce did an excellent job and were good with our kids. We absolutely recommend this hotel and would go here again.
Comfy bed
No bedside table on one side of the bed
View from the room, the deck on the roof, the bed and linens, and the staff were all exceptional.
The breakfast was "Waffles" which were cold Eggo freezer toaster waffles. All of the hot breakfasts were not hot at all. It was such a letdown. The best thing there was that you could toast a bagel.
Brilliantly located between the Citadel and the Waterfront. The hotel was lovely especially the roof terrace which is great to sit and chat and soak up the sun. Staff were wonderful especially Charni, Joyce and Dawn. Love Halifax.
Location
Thin comforter. No house bugger from hallway mirror outside bathroom
Great location
Very expensive considering that it’s a tired old property
The staff here are super friendly! The hotel is in a great location. It was perfect for exploring Halifax! The bed and pillows were comfortable.
The room was outdated. It was dark due to lack of natural and artificial lighting. The couch was terribly uncomfortable and there were no outlets or charging ports near the couch. The bathroom was tiny. You had to call the front desk for dishes or cutlery. Only the bedroom window opened a tiny 4 inches. No other windows provided fresh air or air circulation. There weren’t charging portals or outlets on both sides of the bed. The bedding was not soft but stiff and crunchy.
Nice n clean place. Good location. Friendly staff
The room was clean and the view was nice. The staff there were super helpful specially Joyce and Akshay.
Excellent service at the front desk. The team was extremely helpful during check-in and provided great restaurant recommendations when I asked.
The staff were knowledgeable, professional, and very familiar with the local area. Special thanks to Charvii, Kathy, Trang, and Amber for helping me get organized and making the stay seamless.
Convenient parking and an excellent location with easy access to local restaurants and events. I would definitely recommend this property and look forward to staying here again on my next visit to Halifax.
accès; confort
la porte de la salle qui fait pire que grincer
Great location for walking to bus stops to a shopping area and lots of excellent restaurants within a 5-minute walk and a 10-minute walk down a very Steep Hill to the Waterfront ......so don't forget you will have to find the energy for the steep walk back up from the Waterfront. the city is on a grid system so you can walk parallel roadways up/down and you will find less steep hills to still reach the hotel so that shouldn't put you off staying here. really helpful staff at reception... we stayed here for a week and they were always so willing to give us any advice we needed or just to check that we were all right. The included breakfast was excellent and did include scrambled egg pancakes waffles and eggs as well as other hot items without any extra charge (as has been written in previous reviews) they set us up for a day to go out and about. we were lucky enough to have one bedroom suites which were a great size and felt like one bedroom Flats. TV in the living room and also in the bedroom, super comfortable bed and excellent air conditioning that went down to 16 so it was nice and cool for a good night's sleep. if I wanted to be super picky I would say that it could do with a little bit of modernization in the decor but that is absolutely it and there is no way that impacts on your holiday or your stay here
The location was great. Right across the street from the Citadel and easy walking to the waterfront. It had secure underground parking. The bed was comfortable.
The carpet was a bit worn. The bathroom was very small and cramped. Parking was a bit expensive given the cost of the room.
Location in downtown Halifax- staying prior to convocation
Parking convenience
There were three of us booked for the room with one person using the sofa bed. The sofa bed was not prepared, so he had to make it himself, which I thought was poor considering the price we paid.
We had a very comfortable stay, and found all the staff very friendly and helpful. The restaurant staff were very helpful especially with accommodating gluten free breakfast options. The particular the reception staff Simran, Eddie and Trang were very personable. Thank you!
