Beachfront Inn and Suites at Dana Point

Great place, especially for a family. Enjoyed sitting on the balcony watching the surfers.

Amazing & very clean. Great view.

The room was huge and right across from it was the ocean. We got a room with a balcony and it was so beautiful, we could just walk right out to the balcony and have a full view of the ocean.

The photos suggest a nice, comfortable accommodation. Unfortunately, my experience was very different.

My room had an outside-facing door and was located in a dark, secluded corner of the property, which made me feel very unsafe. But I checked in late, so I made the decision to stay for the night. There were quite a few apparently intoxicated guests milling about until approximately 3 a.m. Because I felt uncomfortable with the situation, I barricaded my door.

The room had cobwebs, what appeared to be mold, and a dank smell. Much of the room and its furnishings appeared to be in a state of disrepair. I also noticed that the elevator safety permit posted in the elevator appeared to have expired in 2023.

After a fearful, sleepless night, I left as soon as possible the following morning.

Because I had booked through Chase Travel, I shared my experience with them, and they contacted the hotel on my behalf to request a refund. The hotel refused, reportedly because I had stayed through the night. My travel advisor also told me that the refund would have been refused even if I had not stayed.
A truly awful experience, followed by an equally disappointing customer-service experience. I would NOT recommend staying here.

Beach, nice, clean and comfortable.

DJ at the front desk was so nice and helpful. The view of the ocean from our balcony was amazing.

Beach front Inn and Suites is a great place to stay. This stay can be summed up so easily, Very friend staff, clean comfortable suites, wide beach view, good breakfast and good location. A right turn out of the parking area and within five minutes or less you are in the main part of Dana Point.

The receptionist was so helpful and made it so much easier for me and also helped with an anniversary setup. Recommend this place and a raise to that gentleman that helped!!

The gentleman at the counter that created us was so friendly and welcoming. The beach was gorgeous. Everybody was so nice that worked there. Our air conditioner didn’t work so that was really rough. We didn’t want to say anything because the water also stopped working. The people at the front counter were so nice and helpful, but I didn’t want to bug them because everybody was calling them. I guess a waterline had broken. The people that work for you in the front office should be given a raise. They were so kind and helpful during a very stressful time.

The location was perfect and the view from the jacuzzi is amazing. Everything you need is all within a couple miles and the beach is right across the street!

The atmosphere was amazing,it was very last minute and was VERY worth it breakfast was awesome and beach front couldn’t get any better definitely will be back!!
