Location and parking
Immaculately clean, large rooms and comfortable beds.
Breakfast was great, offered healthy fruit salad option.
Lovely staff.
Good value, well equipped, parking on site, terrific restaurant at very reasonable prices. Will stay again.
No heater in the bathroom. Area where fridge etc. is situated needs a blind to block out light.
Large blood like stain on mattress needs attention asap.
If staying in summer may be too hot as no air conditioning.
Overall we enjoyed our time at Rydges. It was a bit further out from town than I had expected, but that was down to me. We didn't eat or drink there, but both were available. Check in went smoothly and the room was huge.
I never managed to fathom out how to work the TV! It was also a bit of a struggle to lug our suitcase up the stairs to our room.
I think the measure of a good hotel is not just the outright quality of the facilities but how the staff react when there is a problem. I had two small problems which are not worth going into but the staff handled them superbly and for that I'm extremely thankful and now I loyal customer.
My room was great but my friend's room's window looked straight into a different block only 2m away. It was such a shame as many rooms have great views.
Huge room and bathroom; comfy bed; free onsite parking; a short walk from restaurants and the Italian Social Club (give it a try).
Great sized room, excellent shower and bathroom. Location was great and parking options were good. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet was very good.
Mattress on bed was a bit hard and pillows were a bit firm which didn't allow a great night's sleep.
Lovely place to say. Very quiet but within walking distance of eateries. Attentive staff. Fabulous buffet breakfast. Room was very spacious with lovely outlook over Hobart.
Nothing
Size of rooms including the amazing bathroom! Beds were also very comfortable 😊
Nothing.
Central and spacious
Coffee cups too small in the room
From check-in to checkout our time at Rydges was first class. We arrived an hour early and the staff had no issue in organising an alternative room for us as our allocated room was not ready.
Our room was spacious, clean and the King bed was outstandingly comfortable. The minibar was well stocked and very compatible with city bar prices. The bathroom was quite large with his/hers basins and shower.
The buffet breakfast was delicious with a variety of hot and cold dishes.
An added bonus was the beautiful history and architecture of the building as the old Deaf and Blind school.
Great location near fabulous restaurants in Elizabeth St.
Nothing.

Stairs
