An historic gem in a wonderful location but upgrade your room choice to avoid disappointment
Pros:

Beautiful property in a wonderful location

Cons:

Would have to say that we were underwhelmed with our room which we feel would’ve been more suited to a single person on business - whilst functional it was very small and the tv was not watchable due to it’s positioning - the view from the window was of the back of other buildings. I had to ask a couple of times for a firmer pillow. The pool is more of a plunge pool and was just too packed with sun loungers in a very small space.

Excellent location and staff
Pros:

The location is perfect. Right in the centre of the old city and easy walking to the cathedral, Alcázaba, Picasso museum and restaurants.
It’s a beautiful old building with a nice bar. The staff are extremely knowledgeable and helpful.

Cons:

The rooftop pool is in the new building opposite the old hotel and it’s very small. We tried to use it on two occasions but there were so many other guests there and only about 6-8 sun loungers so we couldn’t stay.
On two occasions our room hadn’t been made up when we returned in the afternoon to rest so we had to make our own bed.
