Location
All good :)
Everything! Right in city center and across from The Shambles. Five ghosts haunt the hotel, but they seemed friendly!
Our room made us feel like royalty!
Location, staff, breakfast
Room wasn’t ready till 4.15, expensive drinks
The location was great. Staff friendly. Live music in the pub. Decor was great in the room.
Nothing!
the old style of the rooms to match the old style of the building
the water smelled of eggs
The Golden Fleece is a gem of a place to stay. Steeped in history and with great staff and excellent rooms that take you back in time the moment you step into them as too does the pub itself. It's an experience that you should definitely try.
There was nothing I could fault. Would definitely stay there again for sure
Everything about this place was amazing, staff were fantastic, nothing is too much trouble, very comfortable room and the bed was so comfy, the breakfast again amazing, cater to all needs. Thank you for a great stay.
Nothing
Very nice very old pub with beer garden good atmosphere and food smelt amazing, and beer garden
The property itself
Dining on an evening table was in the middle of a noisy bustling rowdy pub not ideal for a meal
Had pipes that rattled so badly we could not sleep. Conversation was almost impossible. Also had rotten milk for our tea and coffee and a toliet seat that did not fit.
I wrote to complain but no reply. Really disappointed for £250
The atmosphere was great and there was great service from the staff. York is a great place to visit.
