Golden Fleeced
Pros:

(Stayed in minster room) The bathroom was spotless. Lovely view. Food was average.Staff were all really nice.

Cons:

Step into rear bar was treacherous (an accident waiting to happen, needs clearer sign posting) Room was dusty and plants were dead. Considering price per night I feel that this should have been impeccably clean. Canopy was dusty too.

The room was amazing the bed was really clean and comfy. Loved the decor and how it represented the era the building was from and its history

Accomodation with its own live entertainment
Pros:

The Location and the experience was great for a short stay in York. A fleeting 24 hrs felt fulfilled. Jack the barman was very good, he is a great host. In house entertainment proved the day wasn’t over when we got back to base.

Pillows need replacing too flat, Sunday dinner wasn't hot enough, one of our lamb shanks was cold,

Didnt see any ghosts
Pros:

Booked the largest room which was at the very top of the building. Have to be reasonably fit to get up there. Picked this Hotel for the gost spotting but they must have been hiding. Over all good.

Loved the place but didn’t appreciate being woken up by workmen.
Pros:

The decor was unique and lovely. The room was spacious. The facilities were good. Breakfast was lovely.

Cons:

Renovations were being carried out which we had not been informed of and therefore we were woken up by banging and hammering at 7:20am on the Sunday morning. It was a lot of money for one night for it then to be spoilt with an unexpected wake up call.
