Days Inn & Suites by Wyndham Vancouver

The room was very shabby. Mold around the shower, peeling wallpaper, vent covering hanging off etc. pool, spa, and vending machines all out of order. Mix up with the key led to another guest trying to come into my room!

Run down hotel, no elevator

The bed was broken, the TV wouldn’t work, shower had visible breaks in it knob wouldn’t work well, chairs were dirty. Really regret staying here

The bed was rough, the middle had a hole so if you laid on the side you rolled to the middle

The lights were dim, pool was closed

The 200$ deposit

Elevator was out of service. Despite being advertised as pet friendly I was informed Cats were not allowed only after check in. The breakfast consisted of only cold foods and a microwave

Nothing everything was great.

The room had about twenty holes in the wall. I booked a king bed and they have me two full size beds. And told me that there was none available. Even though I booked it a week in advance. And still paid the price for the king.

This was one of the most disgusting hotel stays I have ever experienced. The room was clearly not cleaned properly. There was pubic hair in the shower, hair all over the bed, and a dirty men’s sock left on the floor, (our party was only women). The light switch and outlet covers were covered in grime. The condition of the property was also unacceptable. Wallpaper was peeling in the stairwell, there was no elevator, and water was dripping from a lobby light fixture. Our room window lock was broken and hanging off the window, and one of the unoccupied ground-floor rooms had its window left wide open for the entire stay. That felt incredibly unsafe.

The basic accommodations were poor. We booked for 4 people for 2 nights and were given only 2 towels. There were no extra pillows available when we asked. The bathroom outlet did not work, and there was no usable outlet near the other mirror, which made it impossible to do our hair properly. The Wi-Fi was so bad we could not even check email.

What made it worse was that the pool was closed and that was not disclosed until after check-in. The hotel’s public listings still promote an indoor pool, free Wi-Fi, and free breakfast, and the official photos present the property much better than what we actually walked into. The included breakfast (cereal and toast) does not start until 7:30 a.m.

The front desk experience was also unprofessional. While I was standing there waiting to check in, the staff member put a customer on on the phone on hold to take a personal phone call.

Between the filth, broken outlet, broken window lock, lack of towels and pillows, terrible Wi-Fi, closed pool, and serious safety concerns, this stay was unacceptable. The photos in the online listing do not match the actual condition of this hotel. I would not stay here again, and I would strongly recommend others avoid it.

Literally everything could've been better. This was the biggest dump I have ever stayed in. There was no lock on the door to the parking lot (huge safety issue), stains on the bedsheets, the TV wasn't logged into any sort of cable, there was no trash can in the room, the bathroom door didn't close all the way, the toilet seat was flopping and ready to come off. I cannot describe with adequate words how big of a dump this place was.
