Absolutely fantastic stay, highly recommend, hands down my only choice for accommodation in Porirua
Pros:

I stayed 3 nights at The Post Hotel and it was fantastic. My room and the facilities were modern, clean, comfortable and also had those little extra touches like a dishwasher, an abundance of milk, coffee/tea and bathroom supplies, brilliant informative sign in the bathroom. Loved the vending machine, no need to walk to a service station for snacks at midnight. The room was quiet, warm, comfortable and felt really secure. The hotel manager and staff were so friendly and helpful and I especially loved the location which was within walking distance to food, Woolworths, public transport, The Plaza, Public Library and the pools at Te Rauparaha Arena. There really was no need for the use of my car so it was parked up for the majority of my stay out the back and who doesn't want to save on gas right now. All in all I think The Post Hotel has done so well to accommodate travellers needs especially for being located smack bang in the city center. Obviously I was aware (from reading reviews) of issues with loud noise from a gym next door prior to my stay, but because of that knowledge I packed headphones and had no issues. Well done The Post Hotel.

Cons:

I booked accommodation and my room was confirmed via email. Booked on the 3rd floor as thats where we wanted to be. We arrived picked up key took our first lot of bags up to our room, unpon return with our 2nd lot of bags we were stopped at reception to say we had to change rooms as the toilet was blocked. We were given a smaller room on the 1st floor had to go up get our bags come back down to get new room key. New room was alot smaller

Their service 10/10. Without hesitation! Seriously, this hotel is by far the BEST accommodation I have stayed in! The a hospitable! I highly recommend Post hotel without a doubt.

Small room but good location
Pros:

Close to everything, within walking distance to shops. Easy check in and check out process. Friendly staff.

Cons:

The car parking is not secure parking and anyone can access it by walking from the road. There was a window we were unable to shut in our room and the floors in the kitchen were very sticky. The room was quite small for a two bedroom apartment, there was not a lot of room to move around inside (no living space).
