Bed broke. Staff amazing. Mixed emotions.

The staff at reception were amazing and so polite and helpfully cant fault them one bit. The room was cozy and had everything we needed.

Cons:

Our bed broke as we sat down to take out shoes off. One night was a lot of money of course due to the area however a staff member did state "its actually broke this time" making us believe this isnt the first time.

check-in, I was required to pay a £50 deposit and was informed that this would be returned on the day of check-out. However, six days after checking out, the money had still not been returned to my bank account. I had to contact the hotel myself to find out what was happening, only to be told that the deposit had not been released because they had forgotten to process it. This is unacceptable, especially when guests are given clear expectations about when their money will be returned. Having to chase the hotel for a refund that should have been processed automatically. Also to mention, the hotel staff were particularly rude. Especially the night staff which were extremely unhelpful and dismissed concerns without a worry. Such as I asked one night staff if they had a vending machine to get some water and he laughed and was extremely rude and dismissal.

Can’t think of one thing

Cons:

It smells! Bad! I think it must have flats people live in because it sticks of food and smelly houses. The double room is a small double bed. My children don’t even have such a small bed. They did move me room because the first one was what I would imagine a hostel or halfway house to be like.
