The lobby area was beautiful and comfortable. It was nice to be able to sit while we waited for our room sensibility as well as have a conversation with fellow travellers

La situación

Cons:

La poca atención del personal. La habitación pésima ya que están en obras al lado del hotel. Ruidoso. Pedimos una habitación en piso alto en la reserva y nos pusieron en primer piso con vistas a la obra. Lo comentamos en recepción y nos dijeron que no tenían disponibilidad y que las habitaciones eran más caras.

Pros:

Big room. Odd shower set up as not fully screened. We had an upgraded room that was confirmed when booked that receptionist sounded that they were upgrading us. Gave us a room with a view to a construction site when could have given us proper city view. Gladly it was only one night. As everything else in Iceland, very few expensive for what it is on offer.

Just OK
Pros:

Free parking, comfortable beds

Cons:

There were two cranes 30 feet outside our window and the hotel should’ve at least given us priot knowledge of the construction. it began as early as 715 one morning that is not OK.
The room phone did not work so you could not contact the desk in that manner. In a modern hotel with a somewhat expensive rate, there was no port anywhere in the room to charge your phones or electronic devices. The hotel provided a converter for a $20 fee. Not acceptable! Several staff members at the desk were not kind or welcoming. But to say the woman who checked us in was very nice I believe her name was Chloe.
We encountered with most of our hotels in Iceland included a breakfast unfortunately, the grand did not.
