It was a great stay. Clean, quiet and within 5 to 6 minute walking distance to restaurants and Keller auditorium. Hotel room was clean. Everything function perfectly. But there’s one specific staff member I have to give a shout out. Allison at the front desk. Everybody did their job well, there’s no complaints, but when you go above and beyond and treat customers like their your friends like Allison did, that’s different . We felt as we spoke to Alison, like friends catching up.
Also completed the review in my email about your establishment hotel zags. If we have any business in Portland again, I guarantee it will be there that we stay.
But, only if Allison is working😃
Thank you for the stay:

The hotel was conveniently located downtown near attractions and restaurants, which was the main reason why I chose it. The room was generally clean and comfortable. The front desk staff were friendly and very helpful with advice on a laundry service and getting to the airport by public transport, borrowing a luggage scale, and restaurant suggestions. I liked the little touches such as having free smores one evening.
For environmental reasons, housekeeping was only done every fourth day. As I was staying six days, I requested at the front desk for housekeeping to be done on the third day. A note for the housekeeper was made, but no cleaning was done on the third day (I was given a free drink as an apology). I then asked for it to be done the next day, but it also was not done. In the end, the housekeeping was done on the day after that. The breakfast could have done with more variety—it was essentially the same items (hard-boiled eggs, bread and pastries, cereal, fruit) every day.
I enjoyed the amenities of free bike rentals and the open spaces.
I came into my room and saw that my bathroom was not cleaned properly.
Location was good.
Staff was not so good. Breakfast was very average with no milk. Rooms were okay but bathroom was not perfect.

Clean and a ton of activities! Free water bottles
Great staff, room was cozy
Bathroom needs updating, toilet was old, the breakfast needed more variety like eggs waffles and a meat. Parking fee was a little expensive
This hotel was not fun to stay in. The bathroom was a disaster. There was a huge gap between the sliding door and the wall, the toilet seat was mismatched and had something textured stuck to or painted over it, and they didn't even bother to properly install the toilet paper holder.
They charge an amenity fee, but most of the amenities were unavailable. The patio was closed for repairs, the gameroom was closed for an unknown reason, and so was the tech locker thing. The EV chargers all had "Out of Order" signs on them. But, you could use the communal microwave in the hallway as long as you didn't mind the caustic odor.
The breakfast was pathetic. Honestly, they should give up on that. If they just offered coffee, it would be better. I disliked my stay there and would never stay there again.
Love this hotel! Has everything you need including smores in the evenings. It’s walking distance to Portland State University. Customer service was excellent. Taffy at the front desk is the bomb! Extremely attentive, friendly and helpful. Taffy sealed the deal, when we come back to Portland, we will stay here, highly recommend!
This hotel has fun and funky vibes. Great location and very clean rooms. The staff is top tier.
They have games, bikes , scooters and all kinds of stuff to borrow for free while you stay to enjoy.
I enjoyed my stay so much that I booked for an extra night. EMMALEE was so helpful and accommodating when I asked to keep my original room she worked some magic and made it happen.
Excellent Location & Safe Parking and kind staffs
Wifi condition was inconvenient. Upon connecting WiFi on PC, Hotel Web site didn't appear, so we get the PW of VIP fron front.
The carpet on room appears old and dirty.
Room clean was not done every day.
Great location, entertainment downstairs (playroom) and outdoor patio.
Smell in the room was strange. Smelled like cigarettes, but waa told it's a non-smoking property. Bathroom looked rundown - ceiling over the shower was peeling. Toilet seat was wobbly.
This hotel was located a little out of the area we kept gravitating towards to shop and eat but was handy since we had a car and a large group. We loved the huge game room. We could watch World Cup on a huge screen, eat meals, and play games together. Plus, we were tucked away so it felt very private. The outdoor patio was a lively area to engage with other guests and partake in nightly smores. Yum! We also made use of the free loaner bikes which were decent and did the job but not great. The rooms were clean, but very dark. We could hear our neighbors on occasion. Rooms ending in the 30s were convenient to the elevator. x01 was very far from the elevator and on 6th Ave. which was noisy from the tram. The free breakfast was decent. No hot food except coffee and tea. Lots of space to eat and the staff in the restaurant and at the front desk were excellent. However, calling the hotel is difficult to say the least.
The beautiful patio area and the food.
I liked everything.
