Inn on the Square

Awesome in every way for our family of 5 and a perfect location as a home base to explore Falmouth, Woods Hole, and beyond -especially convenience to the ferry to MV. My only suggestion is to add a water and coffee station -that would’ve made this place 100% perfect.

Parking somewhat far from main portion of hotel. General quality of accommodations low-medium, looks tired. Bathroom needs updating. Price high in relation to quality but premium price is obviously due to good location. Room small for two queen beds. Refrigerator not very cold. Beds comfortable. Pool was nice. I like that the windows could be opened. Could hear other guest's TV at night. This is not hotel's fault but the breakfast at much-acclaimed Persy's (located in same building) was mediocre at best. Front desk person upon arrival was helpful and provided lots of info about local restaurants, etc. No elevator - which was okay for us - but may be a problem for some guests. Reasonably clean but I didn't want to look too carefully. Its hard for me to ignore the areas that need attention. It wasn't an awful experience but I would find a different place next time.

They offer an EV charger for cars which I took advantage of. The hotel is clean and quiet. It is conveniently located near shops and restaurants. We also bring bikes and bike to the beach and to Woods Hole.

This place needs a lot of work. It's a shame because it's in a great location. Specifically, the bathroom was gross. Mold and missing grout in the flooring. Sink area is worn, old tub and poor shower. There aren't that many outlets for plugging in electronics and the ones that are here are very worn out so if you plug something in, it falls out. We could hear people in the next room late at night. On the plus side the carpeting looks fairly new, beds were comfortable, and place was clean.

Close to the center of town

My family had two rooms, in town for a family visit. The location is close enough to beaches and the town. The pool was heated. The room was comfortable- bed and bedding comfortable, clean towels. There is additional parking in a lot off to the side.

Location, cleanliness, comfort , friendly staff

Unfortunately outside of the manager and two out of three staff members being kind and trying to help with an awful experience, I cannot recommend this property. The room I stayed in with my wife and toddler had bugs spill out of the tv remote onto them and my brother-in-law found cockroach droppings in the corner of his room. There was mold on the tub caulking and shower pressure was weak. Additionally, there was decomposing rabbit in the mulch right outside of the room we were both staying it. This is not a located I would ever stay in again.

We stayed 2 nights for a wedding and it was the worst experience in a hotel that I have had in many years, especially considering that we paid over $750 for two nights. The hotel did not meet our minimum expectations in so many areas. Here are the ones that had the biggest negative impact on our stay:
Parking lot in disrepair, curbs at end of parking spaces out of place and in some cases preventing pulling all the way into the spot.
Outdoor trash cans overflowing all weekend
Musty odor throughout hallways and in rooms, combined with the smell of trash or garbage inside the hotel.
Dirty carpet throughout hallways
Only one door key worked, and not every try
Bathroom completely outdated, dirty grout, mold around tub.
Poor water pressure in shower
Stained towels
Pillows that were the most ridiculous I've ever seen in a hotel. Small, underfilled, lumpy, and smelly. Had to use 3 to get my head propped up to normal pillow height.
No room to move between dresser and bed.
Room door allows bright light from hallway to enter room.
Bathroom lighting not adequate to apply makeup
Dangerous ledge when exiting tub, with dirty traction slip that is inadequate
Old microwave mounted too low, very difficult to use
Amenities fee - for what? An indoor pool?
Pictures on the website are extremely misleading. The hotel is much more rundown than the photos show.
Overall impression of the property is that no updates or investment (and very little maintenance) have been done for 30 years.
They did refund 25% of the cost of the room when I complained, but it was still a terrible value at that reduced price

Fantastic location so close to the high street with shops, restaurants and bars but quiet. Bike rental across the street and the Shining Sea bikeway just behind the hotel so you can take a car free traffic free cycle to Woods Hole - lovely way to spend the day,
