Clean, modern rooms in a great location!
Pros:

Huge room, good breakfast spread and excellent location. Really attentive staff and lovely bar area

Séjour parfait si vous aimez le bling bling
Pros:

L'hotel est situé dans le centre de Puerto Banus, ce qui est pratique pour tout faire à pied. Il est cependant pres d'un voie rapide ce qui peut être génant pour ceux qui ont le sommeil léger
La literie est très confortable, chambre spacieuse
Le buffet du petit déjeuner est varié et de qualité
Grande piscine agréable.

Cons:

Le lit supplémentaire demandé pour notre chambre n'était pas prêt lors de notre arrivée, et la propreté de la chambre était douteuse, j'ai du faire intervenir le service de ménage avant de complètement défaire nos bagages. Je note cependant que pour le reste de notre séjour le nettoyage était bien fait.
La chasse d'eau était très dure, impossible de tirer complètement la chasse d'eau. La moquette des couloirs est toute tachée
La localisation près de la voie rapide gache un peu l'utilisation de la piscine à cause du bruit incessant des voitures
Enfin, ce n'est pas dû à l'hotel en lui même, mais la clientèle de l'hotel n'était pas du tout respectueuse, par exemple fumer sur la terrasse du petit dejeuner alors qu'il y a des panneaux indiquant que c'est interdit!
Nous avons séjourné dans un autre hotel de la branche "occidental" et l'accueil, ambiance était beaucoup plus chaleureuse. Il n'y avait par exemple pas de petites friandises dans la chambre, ni meme la possibilité de remplir sa gourde d'eau dans d'hotel.
Bref, c'était correct, mais trop cher pour un service qui merite clairement d'être amélioré!

We really liked the hotel and kind staff such as housekeeping and breakfast area.
Breakfast was good and perfect arena for us.

Cons:

Reception staff was not very welcoming. Not smiling or greating guest. I have many years experience in hotel industry and do understand that it can be hectic. But reception is the front line and always have power to make guest experience better. during the stay as well. First people you meet and the last. Just starting with a smile would make the reception even better.

Nice hotel very close to the Marbella Arena
Pros:

This hotel was almost perfect. Yes the noise from the A7 is constant but it really made no difference to our enjoyment or sleep!
We originally booked as it was close to Marbella arena were we had tickets to see UB40
Google maps was wrong when it said it would rake 40 minutes to walk, as it’s really close and only a 10 minute walk under a tunnel.
Breakfast was varied and plentiful.
The room was massive with two double beds snd a walk in shower there was a safe, fridge and kettle.
Only problem was that there was no late check out availably.
Well done to everyone at the Occidental hotel

Bad experience since day one 🇰🇼
Pros:

We arrived at the hotel after a very long and exhausting journey, made even more difficult by a significant flight delay. As this is advertised as a 5-star hotel, we expected a much more comfortable experience.

Unfortunately, the carpets in the corridors looked dirty, and there was an unpleasant smell in both the hallways and our room. I am allergic to the smell of fish, and having to walk past the fish restaurant every time we entered the hotel made the experience even more uncomfortable.

We requested a room change, and although the staff kindly accommodated our request, the new room was facing the main road. The constant noise from motorcycles and traffic continued throughout the night, making it impossible to get a good night’s sleep.

To make matters worse, during the room change, my husband accidentally left behind his brand-new perfume, which had never even been opened, in our first room. When we asked about it the following day, we were simply told that it could not be found. This was extremely disappointing and raised serious concerns about how lost belongings are handled.

In addition, I was surprised that the room did not provide bathrobes or slippers, which are basic amenities I would normally expect from a 5-star hotel.

My husband and I are no longer young, and after such a tiring journey, all we needed was a quiet and restful night. Sadly, our first night at the hotel was extremely disappointing, and we were unable to relax or sleep.

I hope the hotel will take these comments seriously and make improvements, as the current experience does not reflect the standards expected of a 5-star property.
