Good experience. Would return.
Pros:

Loved the pool and beach access. Safe, family friendly, and clean. We did notice the management didn't enforce their pool wrist bands so several people were "pool squatting" from other hotels and it made for a crowded experience. When we brought it up the staff shrugged it off.

Property upkeep is lacking.
Pros:

This hotel is in serious need of an update. Only one elevator working. It needs a fresh coat of paint and the furniture is old and worn. The carpeting is bad. We waited an hour for beach towels. The staff was very good. Just a hotel that needs better upkeep.

Average condition place but excellent location and pool!
Pros:

Overall, the place isn’t terrible. We took our little family of 5 for this trip. I read some bad reviews prior to leaving and called the front desk on my concerns. They re-affirmed it’s not a newer hotel and if we had any issues on arrival they would do everything they could to fix the issue. It’s dated a little, got some beach side wear and tear, but after traveling to a lot of beach side places with similar star ratings it wasn’t terrible, I’d say pretty average. The pool was great with the lazy river, tons of tubs to utilize at no cost and a pool side grill/bar was convenient. Try the bush wacker drink you won’t regret it! While we were there I did see them making attempts to put some fresh paint up, and try to keep it looking better. One of the elevators was down our entire trip so we just took the stairs every time cause of the long wait, so hopefully they get that fixed soon. The location was great. Can’t complain about being right there to walk onto the beach day or night. Its closer to the end of the Orange Beach strip so the drive into Gulf Shores which is a great place to visit (at least drive through the gulf shores state park and visit pier it was great!) was amazing! The breakfast id say is average nothing to get excited about but fed the family there. Overall, if you’re looking to stay on budget for a family vaca and have great location/pool this place will work. If you want to stay at a nicer place without worrying or seeing some wear and tear you will be paying much more for sure.

Unpleasant, over priced, & disappointing.
Pros:

That it was on the beach.

Cons:

Stains on the bedding, ants on the balcony, dead roach in the bedroom, mold in the bathroom, no air conditioner in the building except the rooms, toilet overflowing onto the floor and did not get a clean up- only a fan to dry it, promised a pool view and got complete opposite, only one elevator working causing delays constantly, rude employees at the bar.

Would look elsewhere.
Pros:

We booked this hotel because we wanted to stay as close to the beach as possible without spending a fortune. We knew it wasn't going to be a five-star resort, but not being a five-star hotel doesn't mean you can't present yourself like one.

The first thing we noticed was the parking situation. Calling it "tight" is an understatement. Parking a midsize truck here felt like trying to squeeze an 18-wheeler into a scooter parking spot. There is a parking garage, but it's about the size of a broom closet. If you park in there, you'd better be confident backing up because there's really no room to turn around. It only holds around 15-20 vehicles, so it fills up quickly. And of course, there are always those people who park on the lines to "save" extra space. If you knowingly do that in an already overcrowded lot...well, you know what you are.

Once inside, the lobby was actually nice and the staff was friendly. Check-in was quick and easy. We headed to our room on the third floor only to find that one of the elevators was out of service. The remaining elevator looked like it hadn't been updated since the late 1970s. It worked...eventually. It was painfully slow, and the only floor indicator was on the first floor. If you were waiting on another level, you had no clue where it was. Stand there long enough and you'll start hearing the Jeopardy! theme in your head.

When we stepped off the elevator on the third floor, the smell hit us immediately. The hallway had a strong musty odor, and the carpets looked stained and dirty. It smelled like they'd gotten soaked at some point and were simply left to air dry. I can only imagine what might be hiding underneath.

Opening the room door brought more of the same smell. The first thing I noticed was the cabinet housing the mini-fridge. The door was crooked and stuck out well past the frame, making it look cheap and poorly maintained. The transition strips around the tile floor were cracked or missing altogether.

The electrical outlets near the beds and on the lamps were so worn out that plugs barely stayed in place. There were two reading lights that looked about 30 years old, and only one of them worked...sometimes.

The beds weren't terrible, but they could definitely use an upgrade. The lamps looked outdated, and while the TV was fine, the carpet in the room really needs to be replaced. Overall, the room just didn't feel clean or comfortable.

On the positive side, the lazy river was nice, even though it's small. Beach access from the pool area is excellent, and there's a poolside bar where you can order food and drinks. However, while relaxing in the pool, I couldn't help but notice paint and plaster peeling from many of the balconies above. It was another reminder that the property is overdue for some serious maintenance.

Overall, if I had to rate this hotel on a scale of 1 to 10, I'd give it a 3 out of 10. The location is fantastic, and the staff was friendly, but the property itself is badly in need of renovations and better upkeep. With some investment, this place could be much better, but in its current condition, I wouldn't choose to stay here again.

Pros:

The location on the beach and having a balcony.

Cons:

The room and hallways had a mildew odor. The bathtub had mold. The carpet in the hallway was disgusting. The hallway to the rooms were dark and gloomy. There was a nasty roach crawling around the microwave area. I paid $1153 for 3 nights which was not worth that amount.

Nice stay. Would return again if elevator was repaired.
Pros:

Very friendly staff. Very clean for a “pet friendly” hotel. Great location! Room and bathroom clean and comfortable.

Cons:

One elevator has been out apparently for at least 2 years. So there is only one elevator for a fairly large hotel. We ended up having to take the stairs almost every time we left the room. Hotel was full for the holiday weekend. It was VERY inconvenient!

Easy-breezy, sunny and relaxing!
Pros:

Beach access with a pool, lazy river and shop/bar. We purchased the day pass and rented chairs on the beach, and whiled the hours away on white sands and in warm waters. I’d like to shoutout Ms. Cecelia (and her manager whom she spoke to) who was at the front desk and worked with us when we discovered an issue with the pass on our end - she went above and beyond to help us get things right. If I return to the area, I will revisit this establishment specially because of her professionalism and kindness. All of the employees we encountered besides were polite and professional as well, and made our day trip a breeze, but Ms. Cecelia, you rock!

Great hotel on the beach! A few issues with room service and the elevators.
Pros:

Requested a shower chair. They brought it up to the room, installed it, and corrected a leaking issue. The lazy river was amazing. The tiki bar was incredible. The beach was outstanding. The Perdido Beach Service and hotel staff were top-notch. Everyone we encountered were genuinely nice!

Cons:

Requested room service and wasn't received. That evening we asked for towels. They didn't have any clean ones, so we had to wait an hour. We have a disabled daughter that relies on an elevator due to mobility issues. We were on the 5th floor, and there was only one elevator operating. One time during our stay, the one elevator stopped working, and we were stuck downstairs.

Disappointed
Pros:

As Hilton Honors members, we were really looking forward to this trip with our 2 young children. Upon arrival it was nice. No need to check in at the desk with the app. Parking was close and ample. Before getting to our room, there was only one working elevator. Huge bummer traveling with little kids and breathing issues. We were fortunate to be on the second floor so taking the stairs wasn't unbearable. The rooms were average. Not really Hilton quality, just average. It was tidy but could've been a little cleaner and updated. Beach access is great with just a short walk. The lazy river/ pool was nice and clean. Bring your own float, only 4 or 5 available. Be aware when you sign out pool towels you return them by 10pm or be charged $25 per total. Ridiculous! Breakfast... not the worst, definitely not the best and not complimentary. It cost our family of for $56 for the most mediocre hotel breakfast available. The staff was friendly enough. Drinks and bar menu was a bit pricy. $15 for a frozen alcoholic beverage about 12oz. After a couple of days, I noticed a couple of small roach like bugs in the bathroom. Granted we did not have our room serviced daily. Overall, it's just okay. We enjoyed our stay way more down the road at the holiday inn express. More affordable, free, really good, breakfast. They don't nickle and dime you to death. We were unaware of all the extra charges we were going to receive at the end of our stay. Will not be going back.
