Beautiful spacious room, Staff was great.Very welcoming. Hotel is only 15 minutes from the airport. This hotel is my no 1 choice when I travel to Ft Lauderdale for business.. I almost forgot to mention. BREAKFAST INCLUDED, and FREE parking.
Located just over a mile or so from the cruise port and also close by to the airport, this hotel is also mere metres away from a huge shopping and eatery complex. The location is excellent.
Rose and Kenisha at the front desk are very friendly and personable and very pleasant. Our room 302 is large an spacious with a couch, office nook, queen bed, monstrous TV, compact toilet and shower with separate sink and mirror. The air conditioner is a bit noisy. We turned it off and were very comfortable. Adequate hanging space and an easy to use safe is provided. There vis a large gym area and a sizeable pool, with coffee and snacks available for purchase. Breakfast, quite substantial, is also provided and is free. The hotel has recently been renovated and looks it. One bedside table have regular power point and a USB and a C port. The other side has a digital clock with USB and a C port. What we did like was the coffee machine. It has a disposal coffee bag holder which means my wife can have her coffee and I can have a hot tea without the smell of coffee water like in most hotels. The room is very well appointed. Shuttles to the cruise port and airport are available (not free). Would I recommend this hotel...put it this way, the next time we fly or cruise into or out of Ft Lauderdale, we are DEFINITELY STAYING HERE!
I’ve stayed here before, and I came back to discover they’ve done upgrades… which is always a gamble because hotels either improve or accidentally reinvent themselves into a completely different emotional experience.
This one chose “upgrade,” thankfully, not “we’ve entered our experimental era.”
The place has had a glow-up in that very specific way where nothing looks dramatically different, but everything feels like it went to therapy and started drinking more water. The rooms feel fresher, the lighting is less “interrogation room at 3 a.m.,” and more “you are allowed to exist here without being questioned.”
The bed situation? Solid. Dangerously easy to lose a full evening of your life in. You lie down “for a minute” and suddenly it’s tomorrow and you’re emotionally committed to the mattress.
Location is still doing what it does best: quietly enabling chaos. You’re close to the cruise port and airport, which means this hotel exists in a permanent state of transitional identity. Everyone is either leaving the country on a cruise, counting down to departure times with suitcase anxiety, or standing in the lobby double-checking boarding details like their life depends on it (because emotionally, it kind of does).
Now, important highlight: the front desk team was genuinely excellent. Briana and Khadijah deserve recognition because they handled everything with that rare mix of competence and calm energy that makes you feel like your life is, temporarily, under control. Check-in? Smooth. Questions? Answered like it was no big deal. My slightly absurd request for help refilling soap bottles? Handled without judgment, hesitation, or the faintest hint that they were mentally updating a “we’ve seen things” internal diary. Absolute professionals.
The shuttle buses are also part of the ecosystem—there is a fee for them, though I didn’t even end up inquiring about it since I just used Uber instead and skipped the whole coordinated group-departure situation entirely.
Breakfast continues its mission of “fuel and go.” Coffee: aggressive encouragement. Eggs: legally edible. Waffle machine: an emotional support appliance that may or may not be responsible for minor strategic planning around departure timing. That said, the breakfast area itself gets absolutely packed—crowded, chaotic, and often without nearly enough seats, turning what should be a quick, calm bite into a kind of competitive seating sport.
Lobby energy remains peak liminal travel space—rolling suitcases, printed cruise documents, people checking departure times every few minutes, and that universal expression of “I think I’m on vacation, but I also think I forgot something critical.”
But overall? The upgrades are real, the vibe is better, and the experience is smoother in a way you don’t fully appreciate until you remember what it used to feel like.
And seriously—Briana and Khadijah elevated the whole stay. The kind of front desk presence that makes a hotel feel less like a waypoint and more like a place that actually notices you exist.
Would stay again. Probably would still lose track of time. But at least it would be in a nicer room with better soap logistics.
Comfortable bed
What’s with this Parking charge to park ur own car !! Get outta here !
What’s with these later check in times and earlier check out times! 💩
I stayed in the King Room with Sofa Bed on a high floor. The room was spacious, and I especially appreciated the work desk, which allowed me to work comfortably during my stay. The bed was very comfortable, and the overall room layout was excellent. The staff were exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout my visit.I would definitely come back and highly recommend this hotel.
The air conditioning unit is somewhat noisy, which can be a bit disruptive at night. I had seen other reviews mentioning the breakfast area, but I personally found it perfectly adequate. The main downside, in my view, is that breakfast service ends at 9:30 a.m. For guests on vacation who may wish to sleep in a little, this can be inconvenient. I would suggest extending breakfast hours until 10:00 or even 10:30 a.m., allowing guests to enjoy a more relaxed morning without worrying about missing breakfast.
The room was not ready at check-in. We asked when it would be ready and the front desk said they had no way of knowing when it would be ready but we would receive an email. No email ever came. We waited several hours and then went back to check in only to be told the room had been “ready for a long time.”
We used the shuttle service that the hotel uses for airport transfer and they increased the price from what was stated on their website. I mentioned this to the lady and she rudely said that was her price and we could take it or leave it. So we paid given that we did not have any other arrangements. The next day the same shuttle service charged us a higher price to take us to the cruise port. It was all very disorganized and felt like a scam with each individual charging whatever they wanted to and nothing matching their website.
Nice rooms, good staff, outside sitting area really nice at nighttime.
