Hyatt Place Albuquerque Uptown

Good customer service as we expect at all Hyatt Place hotels. I particularly liked the accessibility to restaurants of this hotel. It felt very safe and there were plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. We did not have a reservation when we showed up at the front desk traveling thru town. The customer service was quick and efficient. I would recommend booking online to save a few dollars over the front desk prices.

The only negative about our experience was that all breakfast items were not ready during the breakfast sessions. An hour after breakfast started, the oatmeal and tortillas still had not shown up. I did ask about the oatmeal and it was promptly retrieved from the back, but all offerings should be ready when breakfast opens. All hotel staff that we interacted with were kind and helpful.

Wonderful location, parking, front desk staff, and breakfasts. Great, very clean rooms. However, continuing elevator problems, extending over several visits and even requiring referral to another hotel on our first visit to this Hyatt Place, has begun to make us wonder about future stays.

Great location close to shopping and restaurants. Comfortable, welcoming hotel. Front desk very friendly and helpful. Parking was ample and safe. The room was very comfortable. We were fortunate to get a room with a walk in shower. We are seniors and it helps. They even furnish a no slip bath mat. We think it was a great value. The room was very clean, as was the hotel. The noise level was minimal considering you're in a busy area.
Customer service was amazing. Pralay was especially welcoming. Housekeeping was wonderful. Breakfast was very good, with lots of choices each morning. We will definitely return to this hotel.

Passed through on way to Nevada. It was a convenient place to stop. We close because proximity to Whole Foods. Hotel staff was very friendly. Our tv remote didn’t work so we had to change rooms. Rooms were fine, basic but very outdated / worn. Was fine for a night but would not rush to return. Breakfast was free but not very good.

The staff especially Kathleen were helpful and accommodating. The location was excellent near shops and a few restaurants.

When we walked into the room, it was almost 90 degrees because there was a blue space heater in there.
As soon as we opened the door, we were hit by extremely stuffy air and could barely breathe.
I went down to the front desk hoping they’d give us a different room—since they’d probably given us the wrong one by mistake—but the man there just told me to unplug the space heater and cool the room down with the AC.
Do you know how long that takes? After 3 hours, it was still 84 degrees.
The next morning, it was still 74 degrees!
We sweated profusely all night and barely slept. It was an absolute outrage.
When I told the woman at the front desk about it in the morning, she didn’t do anything except apologize.
I might expect something like that at a cheap motel in a bad neighborhood. But not from a Hyatt. The least they could have done here would have been to switch the room in the evening or offer me a partial refund in the morning. Unfortunately, the service was very poor.

Front desk staff were nice & the cucumber water was a nice touch, however the hotel has seen better days. Walls were scuffed, carpets looked dirty. Only 1 elevator was working & was really slow. The rooms were not great for what you pay. The first room toliet was not clean, dried yellow urine spots on the seat with hair. There was hair on the shower rug as well as the pillows on the bed. Most shelves & end tables were dusty and the carpet looked dirty. The couch also had a dirty spot. This was room 310. I asked the front desk for a different room, they did, although he didn't seem suprise. The next room was silmilar- fortunately the toliet was at least clean and there wasn't hair obviously on towels and pillows. The room was still dusty, carpets looked dirty and furniture looked scuffed and lopsided. It was quite the depressing stay. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone until the Hyatt re-educates and train thier housekeeping staff.

The front desk team was incredibly friendly and welcoming! As a Discoverist member, I really appreciated the complimentary water and snacks at check-in. The hotel was very clean, and the room was impressively spacious with a great, functional layout. Excellent stay!

Location

The Hyatt staff was very friendly. All of them welcome you back when you return to the hotel each day. I spent a week there while visiting Albuquerque for a conference. The breakfast was descent, typical continental style. The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel does not recycle and only had one working elevator. Walking up and down the stairs to my 5th floor room was faster than waiting for the elevator at times. I once waited at least 3 minutes. The hotel is located across the street from a large shopping plaza that includes a Target and a Trader Joe’s. It’s perfect if you’re staying for a while and want to pick up some odds and ends or forgot to pack sunglasses like I did.

Great room, friendly staff and good breakfast.

In close distance of the expo center. It was clean and everyone was friendly. Love breakfast. The room was spacious.
