Important information:

Please note the property only accepts dogs. Guests traveling with pets are subject to an additional fee of USD 20 per stay and a maximum of two dogs per room.

Please be sure to check for road closures during winter months. Highway 120 (Tioga Pass) typically closes from late October until late May. When the Tioga Road is closed, it is not possible to drive to Tuolumne Meadows or enter Yosemite National Park from the east. All other park entrances, including those along Highway 120 from the west, Hetch Hetchy, Highway 140, and Highway 41, remain open all year.

Pet fee is $35 per pet, per night.

We are going through a renovation so exterior has on-going construction on weekdays 8A-4P, spa & sauna are not available at the moment.

There will be a $50 incidental charge upon check-in which they will receive at the end of their stay typically within 1-2 days.

An early check-in is available for a $50 charge if we have availability.

Service Animals and Non-Service Animals will be charged $350 to any damages done to the room.

Service Animals are exempt from fees but must show documents upon arrival.Guests are required to show a photo ID and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply.
A deposit may be required at the property.

Pros:

The room is big and the location is very nice.

Cons:

I know the hotel is undergoing renovations, but with so many guests staying here, having only four breakfast tables and one waffle maker is not enough. Please set up more temporary tables and chairs, even if it is just during the breakfast hours.

Waiting for the renovation
Pros:

The people were very friendly and helpful. The room was pretty rough. The couch was torn, the liner on the drapes had holes (which many were covered with black tape) and the carpet was filthy. We have been going to this hotel for years but every year it gets a little worse. I understand they are renovating the rooms, but they’ve been doing that for a long time and we’ve never been in a renovated room.

The awesome staff made an inferior room tolerable.
Pros:

Staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Cons:

Difficult to find Shilo Inn due to no signage. Going through renovation, amenities such as the pool inaccessible, A/C unit inefficient (hot in room), carpet stains throughout the room, torn window coverings.

It was decent. Staff was friendly

Cons:

Inside of hotel looked and felt very old. I went during construction but it was for the outside. Hopefully they will work on he inside as well. I wouldn't stay here again.

Lage war gut.

Cons:

Es ist eine Baustelle! Laut, teils staubig. Pool ist geschlossen. Frühstücken muss man in der Lobby, wo es viel zu wenige Sitzplätze gibt, zu sich nehmen.
Einmal gab es nicht mal mehr etwas Warmes, weil die Geräte für das Rührei und das Fleisch kaputt war.
Übrigens: der Toaster hat drei Tage nicht richtig funktioniert.

The only reason was bigger beds then Motel 6.

Dirty, laundry did not work. Dinning room not clean and carpet very dirty and smelly. My hand wash sink broken :(

It wasn’t perfect, but it was fine for the price.
Pros:

I like the property’s location. It’s very convenient and close to everything.

Cons:

The room was pretty decent and spacious, but the hallways are in bad shape. The ceilings are broken and carpets look very old, and I had trouble opening my door.

At breakfast, the staff member told me the eggs would be ready in 10 minutes, but I ended up waiting for more than 30 minutes. If I had known it would take that long, I would have skipped breakfast instead of wasting my time waiting.

Pros:

The bathroom has a nice shower, great towels. The room was clean. Beds are comfortable. Pillows with options. Our room had a frig and counter sink along with a bathroom sink.

Cons:

Breakfast was basically all eaten by 8 AM. All that was left was a couple of muffins and cold cereal. Eggs and sausage long gone, so go early.
