Room was large. Kitchenet had all we needed. Balcony was loved.
Fireplace was unusable while we were there.
I sent a text before arriving to make sure we were oceanfront. By mistake I had ordered a partial view. I was able to change it to full view and was told there would be no upgrade charge. It was not on our order when we checked in. It was not honored. It was my mistake so I didn't argue. Everything else was great.
The building itself is fine. I noticed they are doing some work on the facade. Everything was outdated. Thank goodness the contractors weren’t working on the weekend. I chose this Hotel primarily for the location.
Well, it was my special Birthday so my husband and I wanted to stay in this Hotel. First time here. We looked at the website to check out the rooms. We booked a King Size room with no view originally. A couple of days before us checking in we received an email to confirm our booking. Also, was offered a couple of upgrade options for some extra amount. We happily accepted the Oceanfront Premium King. We got the confirmation for the upgrade shortly after. In the pictures the rooms don’t look old and outdated. I was supper excited and couldn’t wait to see my beautiful room. To my surprise this room had a very 70’s old furniture and in desperate need of renovation. The kitchenette was the worst.
I did not get my King bed. I went back downstairs to speak to the young girl explaining that we paid for a Premium King Upgrade. She said there weren’t any available. So why offer these upgrades and confirming them??
We were so disappointed. We had to Queen beds instead. The room had a strange smell as soon as we walked in. Like weed. First thing I did was opened the balcony door to get that room fresh air. The girl at the front desk just replied, nobody supposed to smoke in these rooms. No real sorry. The fireplace didn’t even work. The hot tub at the hotel wasn’t operating either. Also in the closet there were no extra blankets or throws. I had to ask for one at the counter. There were no extra showers gels. Just 1 small tube. I asked a man at the counter if we can have a couple more. He said he would have someone bring it to our room. Nobody ever came. Also, The hallways leading up to your room was a very awkward looking and very narrow.
It was clean.
I understand this place is undergoing construction. However, my room was VERY noisy!!! I was by the elevator and could hear “everyone” coming and going all night. This made for a very restless night. The construction was supposed to start at 8 am. This was not the case. Construction started just before 7am, so I just got up and got myself around and checked out.
It was great
Right on beach
Perfect location! Paige there was very kind and upgraded our room before we got there because the hot tub was broken. She told us we’d be on 5th floor in her favorite room.
We were told someone didn’t look at notes and we had to be on 5th floor when got there. The oven was unplugged luckily boyfriend figured that out, our key cards were deactivated after first night because someone checked us out? , we went to use microwave and it sparked so didn’t use it, we were told by assistant manager that we could not use pool after midnight when we got back from a late dinner at 11:58p on Friday even though in January we were told by staff when we stayed it is 24hrs (and sign behind asst manager reflects that), same manager was telling a maid the things she was doing wrong in the front lobby on Sunday(that should have been a private conversation guests didn’t hear), it was disappointing to stay here. January the staff were sweet and we loved staying. This experience was not at all like that. We will pick another hotel for wine walk next spring.
I canceled they wouldn’t give me a refund
Pretty decent.
The room can get warm in the middle of the night. There was a fan in the room but too loud.
Aside from the ocean front view, there’s really that much to do in the hotel.
Everything
Wifi was bad couldn't make phone calls in my room
The office management and team were super helpful. Booking.com did not send them the reservation but they were still able to accommodate our stay.
Booking.com sent the payment voucher, but NOT the reservation.
The staff and location are amazing.
Our oven didn't have numbers, and it ended up ruining our pizza we tried to cook.
The experienced front desk staff were excellent in responding to an accidental double payment for my stay. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub in the evening. Great to have Mo's on the premises. Great to have close, safe parking.
The bed blanket and sheets were very thin. Than heavens we could crank up the heat or we would have been freezing all night. Pillows a bit small. Neighbors made a great deal of noise easily heard through the suite door between our rooms. I know not much can be done to keep people quiet, but the guests should be asked to keep it down when they check in. When I was checking out, another guest was complaining to the front desk about the noise from neighbors as well. Not much you can do about the thin doors, but other hotels where I have stayed mad a point of asking for quiet, especially later in the evening.
