A beautiful stay in old town
Pros:

+ Great location close to everything, walking distance.
+ The staff were very friendly, which is good since you need to ask for all amenities including toilet paper and soap.
+ Design is a wonderful combination of old and new, spacious courtyard. They called themselved a charm hotel and we think this is warranted.
+ Clean rooms.
+ Real blankets, which is not always the case in warmer countries.
+ Wifi and A/C both worked excellent!
+ Given the limited number of reviews we found beforehand, we assume it is not popular, maybe just overlooked? We were definitely glad it was a real place when we arrived.

- Breakfast rather basic with little variety, coffeemaker broke down every day. Although our child loved the spongecake. Maybe ok if you stay 1-2 nights, but otherwise might make sense to skip breakfast and dine out.
- Crazy neighbour throwing food to cats and birds, but this just affects the 1 room with a balcony, which we really couldn't use much.

For those coming by car - the parking garage down the street is quite expensive, has very limited spaces and car access to the hotel or parking requires you to ignore no entry signs (the old town is a restricted area). Thus we chose to park up the hill (ok if you are athletic enough, the old town is like that on both sides of the river anyway) at the General Torres metro station, which always had plenty of room, was significantly cheaper and in a public zone. Both parking options were only payable in cash.

Hotel agradável em boa localização
Pros:

Excelente localização, com restaurantes próximos. Foi possível estacionar em frente para deixar as malas e depois encontrar vaga para o carro. Colaboradores simpáticos. O hotel é muito bonito por dentro, em edifício histórico.

Cons:

O café da manhã poderia ser melhor.

Cons:

Wir hatten zunächst kein 2 Bettzimmer und mussten, obwohl wir es so gebucht hatten einen Upgrade machen und 40 Euro pro Nacht zu zahlen.
Das Zimmer war groß aber im Alt au und draußen machten bis zu 7 Katzen radau…🤨

If staying in Porto, book in at the Caleway Hotel. The most superb blend of old Porto refurbished.
Pros:

Breakfast was excellent with every possible detail taken care off. We have breakfasted world wide and Calleway Hotel offereing was as good as it gets. Very tasefully set tables and buffet offereing was superb.

Cons:

Nothing other than dirctions to the hotel affiliated car park were awkward with a street map showing the route with all the street names 'highlighted' out. Our sat nav had ran out of jiuce which made the task a little arduous. Positively, a graet facility just down the road from the hotel.
