My husband and I had a VERY last minute trip to Florida a few days ago and we needed to stop and grab a hotel in Gainesville, FL. We got on the road in Georgia at 7:45pm/Saturday, my husband drove as I searched for a hotel for our quick stopover that would also accommodate our Yorkie furbaby. After reading a few reviews I decided to book our stay at this La Quinta and it was perfect! The hotel was located just off the interstate exit. We arrived at approximately midnight to find a clean/spacious room. The bed was so very comfortable, we had to wake up at 6am/Sunday but it made those few hours of sleep just heavenly. We were glad that the hotel was serving breakfast as we checked out at 7:30am (not a little continental meal, it was a nice spread). Since we had to hit the road and finish our trip to St. Petersburg, FL — we fixed a plate to take with us. There were plenty of delicious options to choose from and we were not disappointed! We had crispy bacon, biscuits, sweet potato tots, breakfast potatoes, eggs… everything was yummy! We were so impressed with the hotel, we might plan a trip to Gainesville just to be able to stay again and enjoy the breakfast LOL Our room was spacious/clean and it had a mini fridge with a microwave. Great hotel, we received excellent customer service from each employee that we encountered.
Young lady at the reception desk working the day of our arrival was so extremely nice and professional, unfortunately I don’t remember her name but she would be a great leader teaching others how to deal with guest. Btw next day at checkout a young man was wonderful too, so great staff👍🩵
The hotel overall is very nice. Rooms were updated, clean, and the beds were very comfortable. The breakfast room was clean, well-maintained, and had plenty of seating. I also appreciated the 24-hour coffee station, which was convenient and always available.
Breakfast was just okay. The bread did not seem very fresh and appeared to have been stored in a refrigerator rather than delivered fresh daily. There was only one toaster available, and it was quite slow. The selection of fresh fruit was limited. Given the location, it would have been nice to see a wider variety of fresh, local, seasonal fruits offered at breakfast.
The beds were comfy.
The room was dirty and not clean. Will not stay here in the future.

There was ample places to walk our dog. Parking was close. The breakfast was excellent. Best we’ve had on this trip. Room was clean, shower was nice.
Nice facility
Waited at the front desk for over 20 minutes waiting on a front desk clerk to appear and assist us. I feel that was unacceptable. While we waiting, another group came in behind us needing several rooms and they left to go find another place because they did not have time to wait.
There was no room service and I specifically chose this hotel because you said it had room service
