KLoe Hotel

We love this hotel. I did read the reviews and there was a comment about street noise but we heard nothing from our room. There was absolutely nothing that they wouldn’t help us with. The facilities are pretty perfect and the entire staff from the kitchen, to the housekeepers and especially the managers and the front desk were so caring and always had a welcoming smile.

Check in was quite slow as there was only 1 staff member on the reception to check in/check out multiple guests - would suggest a digital option for those in a rush or for busy times. Hotel entrance quite hidden which confused some taxi drivers. All westerised so don't really get a sense of being in Malaysia. This might be a bonus for some travellers but I personally prefer getting a sense of the identity of the country I'm in from my stay. However, none of this detracted from a great stay.

I corridoi delle camere sono aperti essendo l’hotel vicino ad una strada principale e che la città non dorme mai c’era molto rumore di traffico che si sentiva dalla porta d’entrata, ho dovuto mettere k tappi per poter dormire. La colazione che non avevamo incluso è a la carré ma abbastanza ristretta e il locale dove fare colazione è più uno spazio condiviso di passaggio davanti alla reception diciamo che la percezione del luogo dove effettuare la colazione è più da pre di un caffè e via. Dalle immagini mi sarei aspettato qualcosa di differente malgrado che la struttura fosse bella ed il personale gentile

Breakfast is A La Carte and you can only choose one dish and one drink either coffee or juice. It would be perfect if they offered a selection of juices and coffee and some fruits/yoghurt self service! For me as 160cm woman the breakfast is sufficient but for my partner as a tall hungry man it wasn’t enough! A sauna by the pool would perfect the whole experience!

Check out is as 12 and we had a night flight out of KL. When I booked the room I requested a late check out, which was ignored. I didn't chase until a few days before, but then was told the hotel was full. We were able to use the pool past check out, but the only shower is an open shower right in front of quite a posh restaurant. It felt very uncomfortable doing a full shower in front of people having a lovely pasta dinner, not to mention inconvenient to have to pack wet swimming clothes in the case (not sure a nude open shower is legit, although we did consider!). The hotel must put a closed shower in the changing rooms on the pool floor. The pool is fine, but very much a dipping pool and all of the lounge space is in the shade. Also the restaurant on this floor feels very at odds with the pool. If the pool area is important to you, don't pick this hotel.

That said, the room could be quite noisy at night, as I could hear water running through the pipes, which affected the restfulness of the stay. The location was another slight drawback — while it is within the Bukit Bintang area, it isn’t immediately convenient. It took about a 10-minute walk along a busy road to reach Pavilion Kuala Lumpur.
