Schickes, modernes Hotel in guter, zentraler Lage
Pros:

Schickes, modernes Hotel. In wenigen Minuten zu Fuß in der City. Wasserfalldusche. Rückenlehne des Bettes höhenverstellbar. Lichteffekte.

No kettle in room- free tea and coffee available in the bar but I like a kettle in the room.

An ideal place to stay to explore Edinburgh city.
Pros:

The hotel room was spotless, the location of the hotel was ideal and the staff - from reception to housekeeping - were fantastic.

Cons:

It was much more expensive than what I’m used to paying for similar hotels in other cities. However, I visited during the Fringe Festival when hotel prices are at a premium anyway, so I wasn’t surprised.

The room and hotel amenities, like the LED lighting, the free tea/coffee and little shop were tops!
Pros:

Location was perfect - close to all we wanted to see in the city and yet quiet too. Easy for taxis to pull up and convenient for the bus. The rooms were terrific. One of our rooms had a double bed which could be lifted at the headboard end, so you could sit in comfort in your bed watching TV or reading. Never seen this before. The LED lighting is fabulous and the separate toilet cubicle is a nice feature.

Pros:

Central location, comfy bed

Cons:

Air conditioner was a pain. No matter what you set it to it would revert to 20 degrees. You can't even turn it off as it turns itself back on after about 90 minutes. Apparently, because the windows don't open we could have suffocated if it didn't!
