Torel Palace Porto

Torrel Palace is an absolute gem. We enjoyed ourselves tremendously. The staff, without exception, was exemplary. The service was outstanding. The beds were made multiple times a day and kept spotless. When we returned home after a long day, chocolate pieces had been placed on our pillows. The breakfast is top-tier—eating breakfast at a Michelin-rated venue certainly doesn't hurt. Another great touch that adds so much value is that as a guest at Torrel Palace, you have access to its sister hotel, Torrel Avantgarde, which features great swimming pools, a sauna, and spa treatments.

Outstanding stay – exceptional service from start to finish!

I honestly can't remember the last time I experienced service this good. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond. Every interaction felt genuinely warm and attentive, never scripted or routine. Little thoughtful touches throughout our stay made us feel truly taken care of, and nothing ever felt like too much trouble to ask.

The food was exceptional as well. Every meal was a highlight of the day, beautifully prepared and full of flavor.

This is easily one of the best hotel experiences we've had. If you're considering booking here, don't hesitate, you're in for a treat!

Hotel were incredibly friendly and helpful, very swift in dealing with issues that arise. The hotel is stepped with character, breakfast was good and hotel room that I was moved to in the new block was modern, clean, air con was perfect and comfortable. Location is ideal, right near the Dom Luis Bridge.

The location is just perfect, willing distance to everything Porto can offer you. The room was spacious and nicely decorated. The breakfast for all tastes.

Location is very good. Easy walk to downtown, train station and other Porto highlights. There are many restaurants available around the area. Breakfast was excellent and ordering à la carte was available. The atmosphere of the hotel is very nice and special.
The rooms are carefully designed and meticulously curated. However, the air conditioning was not very efficient and during the summer heat they felt quite warm. Seagulls outside the room can be noisy even at night. We had some issues with plumbing that were quickly addressed as well. Overall, staff was very attentive, helpful and polite.
The pool area is very small. The pool in itself is in a shaded area next to the restaurant. It is clean, but water is on the cold side.
We would have expected more facilities for the price we paid, such as a heated pool, gym, outside relaxation area. We were made aware we could use sister facilities to this hotel in Porto, but we would have needed to walk about 15 minutes to reach them… not a tempting proposal after walking all day in the city.

Great staff. Wonderful ambience, each room is dedicated to a different writer and packed with ambience. The breakfast was top notch.

The room was lovely and balcony overlooking the street . Very central but also quiet . Comfortable bed . Loved the dressing gown and slippers / big fluffy white towels / shampoo/ conditioner / shower gel / body lotion . Coffee maker and mini fridge .

Ontbijt was heel uitgebreid met kwaliteitsprodukten. Bovendien kan je nog extra bestellen en dit wordt aan je tafel gebracht. Het personeel is uiterst vriendelijk, wat een leuke ontvangst !!! Heel behulpzaam en begeleiden je naar je kamer, altijd leuk! De ligging van het hotel is top, pal in het centrum. Bovendien kan je er je huurwagen ook kwijt in hun garage. Ik zou dit hotel aan iedereen aanbevelen omwille van de ligging, het uitstekend ontbijt en het uiterst vriendelijke team.
