The bed mattress
The front desk staff was collapsed by the cloud migration. There was always a huge line to be helped at front desk. They never had a friendly smile. It was our honeymoon and we didn’t get any special or complementary gift in fact we got a room with views to the parking lot on a second floor even if we paid an upgrade for a king bed in advance. We couldn’t sleep properly because of traffic noise and loud music of the restaurant in front. The shower was leaking. The AC went on and off. And housekeeping only comes every other day and we didn’t know about it.
Great location and nice calm beach.
Key system in transition so didn’t work on bathrooms or shower gate
We love everything
Other then carpet was a little damp everything was amazing
Terrible experience. We have been coming here since the early 2000’s, and this place has really gone downhill. They have not kept up on the maintenance, and everything is falling apart. We checked in to a room that promptly started having a leak from the bathroom ceiling. This was an air conditioner leak. We had to then change rooms, and about 3 days later the air conditioner in the new room stopped working. They did not bother to investigate but said they would set an appointment with the HVAC company the following day. AC randomly started working again about an hour before HVAC arrived the following evening. They walked in, stated “it feels like it’s working” and did not check ANYTHING. Then, 2 days later, AC once again stopped working and guess what, leaking in the bathroom ceiling again. They offered to switch our rooms yet again, but at that point we decided to spend the remainder of our vacation at a different resort, and will no longer be returning to Kona Coast resort. Highly recommend going elsewhere.
Well located.
We booked a ocean view and we had no ocean view from room we need to stand on balcony to see ocean.
Also we could not use ocean cause the monk came to chill on beach but that is something out of accommodation control.
Albergo molto bello, camera normale vivibile con ampio balcone. staff molto gentile e premuroso
posti in piscina e al mare limitati, si fa fatica a trovare lettini liberi
Super lokalizacja, hotel nawiązujący do historii i tradycji.
Perfect location! Clean and comfortable
property was in a convenient area, not too far from the airport and near a bunch of restaurants and hop-off beaches
the room was really small and not worth the price we paid. especially after getting a crib in the room, there was barely any room left to walk around. we had a far bigger room for much less money at a different property and for about the same quality.
The location on the small beach, the ABC store for small shopping's the nice restaurants very close. Very friendly staff (could be the depentance on tips) various meal options at the breakfast in very good quality and taste. Free water dispenser on the floor.
Some evenings it was loud from the pool so until 10pm.
I love this place, it’s the second time I’ve been and I can’t wait to be back. The location can’t be beat as it’s walkable to everything, right on the water, and even has its own private beach with umbrellas and chairs. It’s also an incredible deal for a waterfront resort with amenities. Hot tip- Priceline gave us a rate about $600 cheaper than the Marriott Bonvoy site, so it you’re not using points, that’s the way to go.
The pool is steps away from the beach and it’s very family friendly so my son made friends in an instant. The pool service was great, James especially and the bartender (blonde, I’m sorry I forgot to ask your name!) didn’t mind my bizarre drink requests. The pool special of pasta with bacon and shrimp was terrific.
The front desk staff is warm, welcoming and extremely helpful. The bellhops were kind and accommodating, and the staff at the restaurant were wonderful too. Everyone from the host to the servers were friendly and on point. Marie was especially sweet when we had the prime rib and snows crab buffet- don’t sleep on that, it was incredible!
There is a shaved ice place and coffee shop for breakfast and snacks on the first floor that we really enjoyed. The lox bagel at the coffee shop was terrific.
It’s a quick trip uber to and from the airport, and walkable to restaurants, a strip mall, even the goodwill. We love Kona and the King Kamehameha hotel, will definitely be back.
The presentation of the pool and beach were much better in the pictures than in real life.
Location was excellent and it is quite close to the shops and restaurants and it is easy to drive from here and explore the rest of the island. Access to beach was also good to have. Room and amenities were good.
The room itself was big, but the lighting was lacking and the bathrooms were a bit small and old. The front desk staff were not people friendly and the desk was usually quite busy. Our room was not prepared when we got there and were only given the room an hour later after the check in time. We were also not offered leis or the water bottles and only got the reusable water bottles when we requested them.
