Pros:

Beautiful vintage vibe. Nicely updated and spacious rooms.

Cons:

We walked a lot after dark and felt fairly safe but the area near the hotel is a little rough.

Charming throwback elegance in the heart of it all
Pros:

Meticulously restored historical building creates the experience of stepping back in time . Free airport shuttle- just call the front desk when you are picking up your luggage at baggage claim. Also literally just around the block from Louisville Palace, if you are flying in to see a show there this is the best place to stay. Perfect water pressure and temperature in the bathrooms.

Cons:

I can’t think of any detail that would fit in the category of ‘dislike’. Everyone and everything was just lovely!

Pros:

Hotel rooms stink, smell like old spice……definitely won’t return. This is not a Luxury hotel at all, needs total Renovation!

Come for the history, stay for the hospitality
Pros:

We chose the Brown Hotel because of its historic charm and significance, and we were not disappointed.

Kerrise Perry at the front desk was exceptional. She was warm, professional, and genuinely kind. She went above and beyond to make sure we got the best value for our stay and made sure we had everything we needed for an exceptional visit.

If you’re looking for outstanding hospitality in Louisville, I highly recommend The Brown Hotel. We’ll absolutely stay here again, and I hope Kerrise receives the recognition she deserves for providing such excellent guest service.

Poor customer service
Pros:

Very disappointed. The shower clogged, the coffee maker spit out chunks of black junk. Told them when we checkout. The young lady was ruse and dismissive. Will not go back next month.

Beautiful hotel, good food, but the room smelled and you could hear everyone around you so I would not stay again
Pros:

Very beautiful, love the decor, bed was comfortable. Café was good food love the atmosphere.

Cons:

Our room smelled like body odor. The walls must be extremely thin, cause we could hear everybody talking. It was hard to sleep in the morning cause you could hear the staff them cleaning dropping things so based off of that, I would not stay again.
