Boutique Hotel Am Stephansplatz

We spent 3 nights at this lovely hotel, celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary. Our room had a stunning view of the cathedral and the hotel is in a perfect city centre location.
On our anniversary we were given sparkling wine and Sachertorte cake at breakfast, which was a nice touch. Also a heart shaped balloon and heart shaped sweets and decorations were left in our room with a lovely message.
All the hotel staff were kind and attentive, nothing was too much trouble. The airport transfer was worth having, our driver Marica was really good. All in all it was a great trip, Vienna is lovely and we very much hope to visit again one day.

Wonderful location, very nice hotel with excellent staff. Even though all the action was right out the front door, our room was perfectly quiet every night. The breakfast was excellent and the wait staff very friendly.

A perfect location to experience the highlights of Vienna. The hotel is modern and beautifully appointed. Staff are welcoming, friendly and will assist in any way they can. Our room was fantastic. It faced the Cathedral, was exceptionally clean with every amenity. Breakfast and the breakfast room were lovely as were the staff.

I can't say enough good things about this hotel and the wonderful staff. We stayed there for three nights around our 34th anniversary, and the staff went above and beyond to make it a memorable time. They upgraded us to a room on the top floor with a private terrace, and gave us a free glass of sparkling wine, candy and a balloon when we walked in. The kitchen staff gave us little surprises at breakfast every day. They gave us a great restaurant recommendation on our last night. Everyone we encountered was warm, friendly, and wanted to ensure our stay was perfect. Which it was. The hotel itself is equally fantastic. Its location on Stephensplatz is in the middle of the city on a bustling and fun square, and within easy walking distance of most of the major attractions. The room was good-sized, particularly for a European hotel, and was very clean and comfortable. Even though it's in a busy area, it's quiet because the windows are soundproofed. The breakfast buffet is huge and outstanding, and the kitchen staff was friendly and helpful. This is a great place to stay, and if we ever go back to Vienna, we will certainly stay there.

We had the most amazing time in Vienna and the Hotel Am Stephansplatz made our stay just that extra perfect. Location was central and it made going anywhere quite easy. We walked most of the time but the train/metro/buses and taxis were a stones throw away and very accessible. The hotel was at the heart of Vienna and right in front of the beautiful St. Stephen's Cathedral so there was always a buzz and life around the area. It was such a treat to be able to just step outside and have that wonderful view of one of the most iconic churches is Austria.
The hotel room was absolutely lovely and very spacious. The bed and sofa were very comfortable and gave us the best night's sleep after all the walking and activities of the day. My pet peeve is dirty bathrooms so I was so happy to find that ours was always immaculate. All the amenities were quite modern and the extra touches of art and the books about Vienna in the room made it so special.
Lastly, the staff were so friendly and helpful. There was always a smiling face greeting us at reception or the hallways when we encountered them. This trip is actually for my birthday but we didnt mention that in the booking, I was so surprised when we came back to our room one day and the hotel had prepared a small treat and a balloon for me. It was such a wonderful surprise.

Overall, we are so happy and loved our stay and would recommend the hotel to everyone.

The staff, rooms, breakfast, location, and views were all amazing.

Everybody was extremely kind and helpful, and if I am ever back in Vienna, there is no where else I would stay.

Fabulous. Everyone was so kind and accommodating, and we were sad when we left for our next destination! The rooms were clean, comfortable, and VERY quiet - we were facing the cathedral and were blown away by the triple pane windows. Breakfast was also delicious, and the coffee was superb. Easy access to everything Vienna has to offer. I would definitely recommend staying here (and will be booking again for my next trip to Vienna!)

Great location and very nice crowd

At my my sons requested we visited Vienna to look at the architecture for the purpose of his studies and it was fantastic , we stayed at the boutique hotel Stephansplatz next to the cathedral and it was brilliant , couldn't have picked a better place to stay , will be looking to return in the near future.

Very central comfortable hotel on the Stephansplatz we booked a suite which had a great view of the cathedral. The suite was spacious and clean with free mini bar. Helpful friendly staff, good quality and lots of choice at breakfast. Happy with our choice !

Great checking experience. Beautiful hotel, perfectly situated.

I booked a room for two people with a king bed, so it was very surprising to be charged an additional fee for the second guest. A king room is typically advertised and priced for two people, and I have never encountered a situation where an extra charge applies in this way.
What is most disappointing is that this policy was not clearly communicated during the booking process. Had this been transparent upfront, I would have absolutely considered booking a different hotel. Charging extra without clearly disclosing it feels misleading and creates a negative experience from the start.
This lack of transparency has been frustrating and honestly not a great way to begin a vacation. I would strongly recommend that the property clearly disclose any per‑person pricing policies during booking to avoid confusion and disappointment for future guests.
Overall, this experience left me feeling disappointed and misinformed.

This was our second stay at The Boutique Hotel Am Stephanplatz and it was every bit as good as last time. Without question the best location, right in the heart of Vienna with a view over St Stephen’s cathedral. All of the staff are friendly, helpful and efficient, and everything is within a walkable distance from the hotel.
A special mention for Ehab who runs the restaurant on the first floor and provides the best breakfast spread with a welcoming smile and wonderful service, and Diana at reception who went out of her way to help when my wife left something in our room when we left. A great place to stay.
Our only regret is that we don't get to Vienna enough to stay there more often, but it’s a long way from Australia.

I really recommend this hotel. The best locatio in Viena. Very clean. Rooms are so confortable . And the people that work at the hotel are the best part, always friendly an very helpful

Located at the beginning of "The City Center". A shopping 🛍 experience extraordinaire!

The Boutique Hotel has the Old Wold location with Modern amenities & Art throughout the building!
Rooms were kept in pristine order. The whole staff seemed to be there whenever needed & most friendly!
The Breakfast was a feast for the eyes, as well as my stomach!
When we return, we will definitely be staying here again due to all the extras for the price!

What a great hotel! Fabulous location, super clean rooms, great cafe breakfast, and terrific staff. Front windows face the beautiful St Stephens church and the subway stop is steps from the door. High end shops and boutique restaurants surround the hotel and there is a cafe on every block. Staff set dinner reservations for us and even helped schedule a dentist visit for an emergency situation. Highly recommend!

We where very happy staying at this hotel. In an excellent location in the centre of Wien next to the Cathedral, this modern hotel has very nice staff working with them- service , nice equiped rooms, wifi, very clean , excellent breakfast.
