Good helpful staff, very good breakfast in the adjoining Irish bar. Good location and only a short walk to metro.
The steps up to reception
On arrival , there was no ramp to take our suitcases upto the lobby, you had to carry them yourselves, not good for people who cannot do this. we saw an old couple struggling,
Our room was on the first floor with a tiny blanked out window with no view at all. We had booked a superior room and expected some sort of window and view !!
We arrived on a Saturday afternoon and had a long day travelling. When we went to bed around 9pm, the Irish bar , attached to the hotel turned up their music and this continued until 3am. We could hear this in our room , like we were down there !! We could not sleep , it was terrible.
We complained, they did nothing .
Breakfast in the Irish Bar was very disappointing and costly, for what it was.
We won't be returning here .
We checked into the Belmont for 2 nights after we checked out early from our VRBO that didn't have air conditioning. They got us in and Dean got us an earlier check in time despite our same day booking. He even provided us with an ice cold diet coke when we checked in. Location was great! Within walking distance of great restaurants. The room was great! Beds comfy! Lots of plug ins! The black out curtains were fabulous! We didn't do the breakfast so I can't speak to that. It was quiet, I couldn't hear noise from the street or other guests above us or beside us. The shampoo, conditioner and hand cream were minty fresh. I would definitely stay here again!
We had a nice stay at this hotel. Our room was well decorated and maintained. The A/C was very refreshing, but we found the settings couldn't be changed, so it was either on medium (and quite cold!) or off completely. On the auto setting it was very loud and cut in and out.
Staff at the hotel were lovely and welcoming.
Location was good for downtown access - we walked to most of the sights (Stanley Park, Granville Island, Gastown) but we do like walking. For some people it might be too far. The area is a little bit sketchy due to being Downtown, which is worth considering if you're sensitive to that, but we had no issues.
The breakfast was sadly disappointing. It was served in the attached Irish bar and the food was quite basic, but nice enough. However, despite advertising it was available until 10:30am, one morning we arrived just after 10am to find all breakfast items had been removed to accomodate the Champions League final. This was disappointing and meant, despite paying for the breakfast within our room rate, we had to buy breakfast elsewhere. Generally a nice hotel and a pleasant stay.
Location
The location wasn’t good , not a very nice part of Vancouver
We had a wonderful experience during our stay. The staff was incredibly kind and welcoming, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. A special thanks to Arjun and Sangay, who went above and beyond to assist us throughout our visit. Highly recommended
Rooms were clean and spacious. Hotel in good spot for nightlife.
Breakfast not great for vegetarian/plant based/vegan.
No plant milk for one of the days.. no spread option for toast. Limited hot breakfast only mushrooms and potatoes.
Arjun and Dean helped us and offered amazing service for our stay.
The staff were really great. The welcome drink and chocolate were a lovely surprise, and to be able to use bikes free of charge was also an unexpected bonus. Thank you.
- Modern and clean
- beautiful rooms with very comfy bed and very spacious.
- lift to all floors.
- staff were soo friendly and helpful!
- felt very safe!
- the bed was fantastic! So big and comfy. Very clean sheets and whole room was perfectly clean!
Bit more pressure from the shower but very small thing and didn’t upset my stay.
Great location, 10 min walk to sky train station. Food and shops steps outside
Would have loved to have a mini fridge in the room. And the noise at night is pretty loud.
