Sehr gutes Hotel direkt an der Strandpromenade des Lake Taupo. Balkon mit direktem See-Blick, wunderschön! Zimmer sind groß und sehr sauber. Das Restaurant ist super. Pool im Innenhof.

Cons:

Gorgeous spot right on the lake
Pros:

A beautiful, classy place to enjoy a meal, a glass of wine, and the stunning view. The guitarist on Friday nights is excellent and adds greatly to the atmosphere.

That said, the venue could benefit from a few small changes. The music can be a little loud for such an intimate space, making conversation difficult at times. Dimming the lights would also help create a warmer, more relaxed ambience. The dining area is currently very brightly lit, which detracts from the cosy atmosphere many diners are looking for in the evening.

Service could be more attentive, with staff checking in periodically to see if guests would like another drink, dessert, or to open a tab. Those small touches can make a big difference to the overall experience.

The cheese platter is also quite average and could do with a refresh to better reflect the quality of the venue.

It’s a shame more locals don’t take advantage of this beautiful hotel. It’s a wonderful spot to sit back, enjoy the view, listen to live music, and unwind with a drink.

Great place to stay - will stay here next time we visit Taupo

It was water front, with a nice walk way and view from our room
It had a nice bar, and a musician was playing for the evening
The cocktails were nice and our meals delicious
