Needs some TLC
Pros:

Beautiful location on the lake.

Cons:

Need to make booking for sauna and grotto which is bizarre and very inconvenient due to the 40mins it took to warm the sauna up and you only get a 1 hr time allowance to use them.
Lady at front desk (not sure name) but fairly non-approachable and quite unfriendly. Entire hotel needs some TLC and deep clean.

Extremely clean, comfortable & enjoyable, with amazing lake views from room. Will definitely return.
Pros:

Fantastic panoramic lake views, very nice room with balcony, comfortable bed and pillows, decent TV and a good shower.

Cons:

The bed was just missing a headboard, and the bathroom fan was a bit noisy when turned on, but we had a great stay.

Affordable Luxury Stay Taupo
Pros:

Beautifully appointed rooms, spacious , clean and luxurious. Great location and nice resturant Heating was spot-on.
Comfortable king bed, lounges and situated lake front.
Beautiful double spa-bath and good shower.
Had all the essentials for short stay travellers.

Cosy but dated. Genuinely lakeside, whiich is the best thing about it. Wouldn’t stay again. Just not my vibe.
Pros:

Right beside the lake. Short drive to town.

Cons:

Small rooms. Noisy. Weird gym (in a kirchen alcove, no privacy from pool.) Out of order sauna. Breakfast was good but basic. Pricey for the quality of the facilities.
