We have stayed here many times in the past. The General Manager had left so the Assistant GM Phillip Jones has assumed all responsibilities.
From our perspective as guests he has done an amazing job, far above and beyond. What is even more impressive as we’ve noticed a positive shift in employee morale as he is highly respected by all of his staff.
I spent almost 38 years in management positions within corporate America. In my opinion he should be the obvious choice as the new GM. He knows Hyatt, this property and has respect from
all of his employees as well as managing a current major renovation of the entire property. We continue to enjoy staying here when in the area.

If you read this review and still choose to WASTE your money on a Disney hotel, you might want to book an extra chat with your therapist. As Disneyland pros we found Disney World to be crazy expensive, especially when you consider we could only pull off 8 attractions in a day at Magic Kingdom and we easily do 15 attractions at DisneyLand with max capacity. So why give Mickey extra money when you will spend all your time in the parks? Stay where the staff will treat you like family and your room is spacious, clean and comfortable for half the price. Rideshare is quick and gets you to the parks as fast as the WDW bus system. Do yourself a favor and stay at Hyatt Place!!!
Convenient location for shopping and restaurants. The breakfast was great as well.
Limited bar and the draft beer was not working properly and very foamy.
Check in was fantastic! The manager discounted my room because they didnt have the room I wanted and requested. Very friendly staff. The pool was great! The hotel was very clean and I loved the location!

If they allowed for zero stars I would have selected. Where to start. My daughter stayed here with her high school classmates as part of a chorus/band trip from April 16-April 20 2026.
Like past reviews, my daughter returned late in the evening after visiting Disney to find there were no towels in her room. She was sharing a room with three other girls. When she called to request towels they said they would bring them up. More than 30 minutes later she called back and they said no towels were available until the following morning after they would have already left for the day. Not very hospitable.
This same evening, over 60 of my daughter’s classmates had their room key cards deactivated. Upon arriving back from the park, all 60+ needed to have cards reactivated. As you would suspect this took quite a bit of time.
The following evening they returned from the parks again. This time the toilet was not working and the shower was leaking onto the floor. The girls went to the front desk and the staff called maintenance. The staff mentioned the Maintenance worker did not speak English and the girls would need to point to the toilet so he knew it was not working. When he showed up, he tried plunging the toilet, a chaperone used Google Translate to speak in Spanish yet he did not answer any questions. The plunging did not work, he stopped, said no fix, and walked out.
The girls and chaperone went to the front desk, explained what happened, and the front desk staff said you will have to make do because there are no other rooms. The chaperone persisted and the girls were moved to a “suite”.
After all this, I called the manager a few days later to provide the feedback and ask how this could happen. After all I reviewed with him, he said there is nothing I can do now as she has checked out. Additionally, the manager stated he was not made aware of any of these issues.
I liked the staff. Although they were less staffed than any hotel I have ever stayed at, they did a good job and were very personable. You couldn't help but feel bad for their reidiculous workload
Everything else. Too short-staffed, the phone was broken, the safe was broken, I was told on a paper after I paid and checked in that the hotel only provided every other day ("Light) housekeeping and full cleanings every 3rd day. Since I stayed two nights, I didn't have housekeeping at all. I was shocked that this was the level of service at a Hyatt.
