Time for a refurbishment
The hotel's location is good and staff are friendly, However, Major Hotel Improvements are needed. The overall experience fell well below expectations.The suite had mosquitoes flying around inside on arrival.
A serious concern was that the hotel elevator got jammed for approximately 20 minutes, requiring us to use the emergency button. The air-conditioning was outdated, noisy, not cooling well and performed poorly.
The Executive Lounge was disappointing, with mosquitoes flying around, limited refreshments, and hygiene standards that need improvement. The breakfast buffet was the biggest concern, as we repeatedly observed flies around the food, including inside covered serving trays and sauce containers.
Overall, the hotel needs significant improvements in cleanliness, maintenance, hygiene, and guest safety to meet the standards expected of a hotel in this category.

Great location, with wonderful sights and sounds of the island within close proximity
Styling, locations and ambiance
Naturally the location was amongst the best. Rooms are nice, clean with a wonderful harbor or city view, depending on the selection. The 6th floor executive lobby was wonderful along with the staff presence like Michael, lively Mel and Sephora. Good drinks selection throughout the day. Variety of snacks needs thoughtful changes as otherwise mostly fried stuff only. Excellent coffee maker too.
The snacks selection although good stuff like spring rolls, mini samosas, chicken pockets, etc were tasty, they are all fried stuff. Some sandwiches could be offered. Otherwise nothing to dislike in the Executive Lobby. No health faucet in the bathroom.
What I liked most was the location, the beautiful sea and mountain view, and the comfortable bedding. We also loved having a bathtub in the bathroom, it was the perfect way to relax after a long day of walking and sightseeing.
What I didn't like was:
- There was no one available to assist us with our luggage. I had to call someone from inside the hotel to help.
- There was no welcome platter in the room as on our previous stay, and the minibar/fridge was empty.
- The room lacked modern amenities, such as a smart TV with YouTube.
- The breakfast buffet had very limited choices. However, there was a good selection of freshly prepared egg dishes available to order.

The staff tried their best to improve our stay. I stayed for one week on a honeymoon and they tried to add additional touches to our room to celebrate the occasion. Throughout the stay, I found the staff to be extremely polite despite the shortcomings of the hotel itself
So we had a half board package which includes breakfast, dinner and unlimited access to the spa and executive lounge (I still don't know what that is!). Room was okay, a lot of mosquitoes especially at night. TV doesn't have Netflix or any of the smart applications so you're stuck with several channels to watch.
Upon checking in, we were told that there were two restaurants for breakfast/dinner. All good so far. Had dinner at the restaurant and realized it's an a la carte menu which means limited options, but that's still no issue.
On the third day we learned that we exceeded the allowance for dinner (this information was not shared upon checking in) on the fourth day we learned that we had to pay for the water we order at dinner (a piece of information that was not shared with us earlier) so we did the smart thing of bringing a bottle of water with us from the room, the same one served at the restaurant!! The fifth day we learned that we had to pay extra for room service for the tray. So basically the dining experience is horrendous and not worth paying for the half board option.
The restaurant itself is nice, limited options though. Expect the service to be slow (1 hr wait to get a burger, ordered an omelette at breakfast and waited 40 minutes and never got it) so again not worth the price.
The unlimited spa turned out to be access to the gym and a dirty pool. Which is normal at every hotel I've stayed in (been to 40 countries).
Overall, not a 5 star hotel, 3 star at best. If you have to stay here DO NOT get the half board option. Plenty of restaurants around the area that offer better food & experience, and I believe for the price we paid (roughly 350 eur/night) this was not good value for money at all.

Very helpful and responsive staff, clean rooms and decent in-house restaurant and super late in-room dinning request accommodated. Check-out experience was great and the staff (Saira and Faith) were super helpful.
No refrigerator in the room. But the staff got ice buckets for me each day.
