Steven and the rest of the Valet team were awesome! Super helpful and prompt. Great service and care. Just all around a great experience.
Overall stay and event was awesome as well! We will be back for another event soon!
Pretty, historical building with plenty of character. Very friendly.
The beds were so comfortable, the location was central, there is cheaper parking next door if you have a car, and the staff were incredibly friendly. Breakfast is so decent - big buffet with omelettes.
Nothing.
Really great experience. Parts of this historic hotel are a tiny bit tired. BUT the room was nice and fresh, the lobby is beautiful and the pool was saltwater and warm. The staff is awesome! Kind and helpful! The valet was so informative about parking in the area. Steve helped with our bags and made the kiddos animal balloons which was so sweet!
Great value, especially since we had a free breakfast every morning with made to order omelettes. We also got two free drinks each night per person at the reception from 5-7pm and snacks. Great stay, right next to voodoo donuts. We felt safe and comfortable!
All the staff were so friendly. Hotel is historical old but kept up good. Mother's restaurant was great!
Shout out to Christina frond desk and Steven valet. Both went above & beyond!!
Saved seats on Rose Parade were a bonus that evening!! Parade went past right outside the side door.
Rooms needed a little TLC. Clean but worn. Excellent room size tho!
Beautiful hotel. Great room service food from Mother’s.
Stella from Valet Services went above and beyond for our family. I went up with my daughter I law and two granddaughters (4 yrs old and 7 months) to meet while he was doing an event at the Portland Zoo. She offered to help get all our luggage and various kid stuff to the room after a trying 3 hour drive up the Coast.
Next, with a screaming baby in our car after the Zoo, she was able to help us get the car in Valet with no problem. And check out was made easier knowing she was there Sunday to get our car.
And thank you Steven for the balloon dog for our Aurora as we got the car packed.
Had a Great time in Portland oregon stayed at the Embassy suites downtown! Steven and the Valet crew were very busy during the Rose festival parade and weekend! They were very helpful with places to go and how to get there ! Thanks again team Great weekend 👍 🙌 🫡👏👏👏
Everything was great. The staff was very attentive and friendly.
Best experience ever! The valet service is exceptionally friendly and well staffed. Our children loved the balloon animals. Thanks!
I hope Steven at the front of the building gets an insane raise soon. We learned so much about the hotel and the area from him in less than 5 minutes. The valet boys here are also amazing 10/10 will be staying here again.
The hotel reminded me of a classic Cadillac - it’s comfortable, classy and has this hint of nostalgia from the earlier days. Clean rooms, plenty of fresh towels, and comfortable beds. Restaurants weren’t open on Monday night but the breakfast was amazing. A wonderful and kind lady made fresh omelettes. All the staff that works in the hotel is extremely hard working and takes pride in their work.
Excellent location! Easy access to everywhere we needed. Mr. Steve at valet made our experience!!!! He did magic tricks with our kids. They talked about him after we left. Cribs provided were great for littles.
Nice hotel with a very good staff. The valets were very helpful and gave us plenty of information. The hotel is within walking distance of a lot of things
Room and location
Breakfast
Breakfast was great especially "Marice" cooking at the omelet station. She was very accommodating to whatever we requested and exceptionally friendly. Happy hour like most Embassy suites was nice. The location was downtown-downtown and within easy walking distance to many of Portland's famed tourist sights, and bars, and food pods. Nice gym and other facilities.
Better choice of beer at Happy Hour as well as appetizers were very limited and the basement area (for breakfast and happy hour) always felt dark like a dungeon.
Breakfast was very good, however, the dim "night club" lighting was TOO dark for the morning. It was great for the cocktail hour.
Brighter lights in the area where breakfast is served.
