Pros:

Die Lage war zentral direkt am Hafen.

Cons:

Der Lift fiel für mehrere Tage aus. Der Weg zum Zimmer war abenteuerlich. Der Streik der schon mehrere Wochen andauert, betraf auch dieses Hotel.

The hotel is nice, centrally located maybe a bit outdated. Breakfast is fine and most of staff are very friendly and helpful.

Cons:

The low score is due to the fact that we paid for half board and when we arrived we were told that due to the ongoing hotel strikes they were not able to offer diner. They had known this for a week but did not communicate this with us. More importantly, they made us pay the full amount for half board and told us we needed to get the refund via Booking. Booking disagreed with this and the hotel and booking did not come to an agreement on this matter. Booking did refund us but not thanks to this hotel as we understand. We felt very cheated.

Excellent location and staff helpfulness.
Pros:

Location and the wonderful Reception staff. Nice breakfast. Proximity to several excellent restaurants. Easy short walk to Bryggen. Reception staff very helpful, proactive, friendly. Check in and checkout smooth and unfussed.

Cons:

A bit dated. Shower water spread over the floor. Sofa in room very hard and lumpy.

Bonjour,
Ma réservation comprenait le dîner, c’est pour cette raison que j'avais choisi cet hôtel.
A notre arrivée (lors du checking), nous avons appris qu’il n’y aura pas de dinner de servi durant tout notre séjour, motif indiqué, grève du personnel.
J’ai demandé si j’aurai un remboursement, la réception m’a demandé de voir avec "booking" pour résoudre ce problème car ayant régler ma réservation avec booking, eux ils ne pouvait rien faire.
Par ce message, je vous demande quelle est la procédure à suivre pour que je puisse bénéficier d’un remboursement concernant 8 repas du soir.
Je n’ai jamais été prévenu avant mon arrivée de ce problème. Les repas du soir en restaurant à BERGEN sont très chers, c'était un élément important dans mon choix pour l'hôtel.

Pros:

Female manager was exceptionally good with customer service.
She advised me to contact booking.com to get a refund due to no dinner in the hotel despite included in the booking price.

Cons:

No dinner available due to a strike. I still haven't heard from booking..com about a refund as it was included in the price.

Wonderful hotel and wonderful breakfast cut missed the dinner option. Would still recommend!!!

Beautiful building and the room was cozy and warm.
The breakfast was great and fresh food is always appreciated!! Our room as wonderful for our family of 5. Lots of room for all of us!!

Cons:

Our stay happened during a strike in the area for hotel workers so the half board was not given. We had breakfast down for us but we had gone to this hotel to try to mitigate some food expenses but since there was the strike happening we didn’t get the dinner portion of the half board.

Cons:

Sadly we arrived during a strike so no dinner was available and breakfast was somewhat chaotic but all things considered they did their best under the circumstances...but this means I have to answer no to did it meet my expectations
