Important information:

There is parking available at the car park underneath the hotel. To self-park, enter the car park from the left-hand side of the hotel driveway, from Binara Street. For valet parking, enter the hotel driveway from Binara Street and our Concierge team will assist you.

Self-parking is $35 per day.. Please note that parking is subject to availability and cannot be reserved in advance. Please note that the parking height limit is 1.9 metres. Unfortunately we are not able to accommodate oversized vehicles. Two Tesla electric car charging ports are available for guest use in the Crowne Plaza Canberra car park.

Please note that there is a 1.9% charge when you pay with a Visa, MasterCard or American Express credit card and a 3% charge when you pay with a Diners Club or JCB credit card.

The facility loooked a bit worn down. It’s an ok value for money because of its proximity. The staff was very welcoming

Super close to the venue and easy to navigate.

Cons:

There was no toothpaste or toothbrush and no bath sandals so I had to walk in my shoes all the time.

Pros:

Reception staff great, pleasant.
Room was clean, and presented well, but nothing stand-out for staying at the crowne plaza.
Shower heads need to be replaced, pressure was ridiculous.

Cons:

Personal hygiene with some staff needs to dealt with.

Please can I have a room with a proper shower!
Pros:

Staff were helpful and courteous. Room was clean. Bath/Shower is dangerous and not suited for all guests. A shower curtain and low water pressure is so old news I'm sorry. Guests should have the option of standard shower. Hotel is close to shops etc and easy to find/access.

Room was too hot. Lift function to get from level 2 to car park was very hit and miss so you had to catch a separate lift most time to get to a lower level then change lifts to get to the car park. Lifts therefore seemed geared to let you off at restaurant/bar so we specifically chose to eat out instead.

Watch out if you enjoy a hot shower – or a Club sandwich
Pros:

Excellent Location, very dated rooms that need a refurbishment.
I experience was mixed, as when I arrived I was checked into a room with two double beds even though I’m a single traveller. They changed my room to a room on the ground floor that really wasn’t that great. Room service was mixed as well I ordered a steak one night and it was fantastic and then I ordered the worst Club sandwich I have ever seen in my life on the second night. What top it off was when I was having a shower before Checkout and my rooms fire alarm went off, because I didn’t close the door is supposed to be common sense according to the hotel staff who want to charge me $2000 for the privilege of having a shower at their hotel - evidently their bathrooms that don’t seem to have an extract for steam course to infiltrate the room and set off the smoke alarm.
The hotel manager was courteous in explaining to me the situation, but I’m still really disappointed that no warning signs were in place to say please close the door while having a shower, and no steam extract was installed in the bathroom which I would’ve thought would be normal.
Overall, it was quite a negative experience that the hotel manager tried to turn around but I wouldn’t stay there again.

Old and run down, needs a total renovation
Pros:

The rooms are very old and need updating. The bathrooms are old and moldy, shower curtains are disgusting, there was mold all along the bottom of it and the toilet had a seat that didn’t fit it. The staff are lovely and the best part of the hotel. Very disappointed in our stay and won’t stay again. There are much better options in that location. The breakfast buffet was so expensive and half the food optojns were gone and not being refilled. The dinning room was a mess and tables were never cleared, we had to clear a table ourselves just to get a seat. When we went to get food it was basically empty and there was still an hour to go for breakfast $40 per person for some stale food and old toast was appalling.
