Awesome stay in Wellington CBD with great pool facilities and yummy buffet
Pros:

Loved the pool area, buffet breakfast and the staff very lovely and even gave us a surprise birthday cake in our room since it was a birthday trip! So nice!

Cons:

The beds were a little bit soft for my liking and the pillows too thick. I left it too late to change pillows not a biggie but may have been uncomfy for more than one night. Also the restaurant attached to the hotel (Two Grey) was okay but the toilets were a bit dusty / not super clean. Not a reflection of the hotel per se but since it’s attached to the hotel it didn’t match up with the extra clean hotel vibes

Pros:

Nice staff, mostly efficient. Good room, but hardly a 'suite' with no separate living are. Club lounge excellent in the evenings.

Cons:

The breakfast far was sub par. Especially in the main restaurant. Cramped buffet, hard to access, food barely average. Salmon on offer, but no cream cheese, no bagels, no capers. Hot food worse. So Kiwis like kranskys or chicken sausages for breakfast? Wrong. Poached eggs precooked and rock hard. Bacon shriveled up and hard. Home-made hash brown small, soggy and tasteless. Went to club lounger after first morning, was OK, (nice fresh fruit (in both) but egg dishes poor - esp the Eggs Benedict.

Room was spacious, facilities were amazing. Lots of options at mini bar.

Cons:

I had rung up service desk to enquire about the morning breakfast buffet, i had previously seen complaints about this therefore i rung to see if i needed to pay in advance or book it for the morning. I got told i didn’t. Got ready with my two little girls in the morning and popped down about 7:30 to get told “have you tried just getting room service” 😬 the lady at this desk didn’t seem to care and wasn’t helpful in the slightest when we had gotten told we could just come down and come enjoy this buffet. Paying $405 for a night, you would’ve thought she would’ve been abit more helpful.

Welll appointed room. Light switches were a bit of a mystery at first - could be better and there was an odd round table in our room that served no purpose

Some room service breakfast items weren’t great - avoid the French Toast.
Requested replacement water bottles and they didn’t arrive - not a major issue but a bit annoying.
