Conveniently located in a hub of activities, stores and restaurants.
There is an old musky smell. May benefit from shampooing carpets more frequently or removing them.
Location on the riverfront was excellent. In the middle of the action. Across the street from trolly tour pick up. Historic building converted into a hotel. The decor was excellent. Staff was super friendly and helpful when we had a question or issue.
It was a bit noisy at times. We think it was the a/c but there were clunks and odd sounds quite regularly. In a way it added a bit of character to the very old building but could be bothersome for the lightest of sleepers.
The front desk staff was really friendly and helpful.
Everyone has a smile every time you came through the door and they greeted you which made you feel welcomed

We stayed here at this charming Inn in August 2026. The hotel and the staff were marvelous - a lovely room, great amenities, superior staff, and a fabulous location right on the river with all the small shops and gorgeous views. We would like to give a special thank you to 2 staff members - Jay at reception, and Bradley the bartender for the manager's reception. Both of these men made us feel welcome and like family. We will definitely return! You cannot go wrong here!
Our stay at the River Street Inn was outstanding. The old building was such a delight. My hat is off to the decorators that blended old with new. The towels were thick and soft and the bed was comfy and perfect. The room and the whole hotel was so nice and clean. We were greeted at check in with warm friendly smiles and a drink. We were celebrating our anniversary this trip and the special card and celebration gift awaiting us in our room was perfect. Every employee was friendly, courteous and knowledgeable if we needed help. The managers reception every afternoon was quite a treat. The restaurants in the building were nice. Huey's had some especially yummy food. We had visited once before and were delighted to find this hotel even better than 7 years ago. Thanks River Street Inn for a wonderful stay!
The customer service is fantastic. Everyone was friendly, professional and accommodating. The happy hour social was an added bonus. The decor was a beautiful representation of Savannah's history. Definitely worthy of return visits.

We had an amazing experience! When I checked in I was informed that I was their very first guest of the day! We received a free room upgrade with an amazing view of the river, breakfast for two, a dinner discount voucher, late check out and a bottle of champagne! I would highly recommend staying here and not because I was their guest of the day! The Inn is very quaint with a lot of history and located right on the river in the historical district! The staff are amazing and really enhanced our stay! Thank you River Street Inn for a wonderful stay!
Great location around a lot of shops and restaurants. The ambience was nice with soft lighting and a ceiling fan to circulate the air.
It can be noisy but it wasn’t a problem for us.
