Pros:

Nice mini bar in the room. Great location. Staff was nice, but a couple who didn't understand English.

Cons:

The lobby was very warm. We had a long drive. Hot water is free, but no cold water unless you pay. Shower doors were difficult to close. Hard to tell who staff were.

⭐️⭐️ **Very disappointing experience**

I booked a **Double Queen Room** at Hyatt Place Plano, but when I arrived, I was told they were going to give me a **King Room instead, for the same price**. I went to the front desk because I had specifically booked and paid for a Double Queen Room and expected the hotel to honor the room type I reserved.

Unfortunately, my experience with **Jackie at the front desk was extremely disappointing**. Instead of trying to help resolve the issue, she was very rude and dismissive. She told me that I would get the room the system showed, and even asked me for my email to "prove" that what I was saying was true. I felt like I was being treated as though I had done something wrong, rather than as a guest trying to resolve a reservation issue.

I do want to mention that **Benn was very nice and genuinely tried to help**, and I appreciate his effort. However, in the end, they told me they were **overbooked and could not provide the Double Queen Room I had reserved**.

At that point, I requested a refund, and my reservation was canceled.

I understand that mistakes and overbooking can happen, but **the way the situation was handled made the experience much worse**. I expected better customer service and for the hotel to make a reasonable effort to honor the reservation I had made.

Unfortunately, this experience was very disappointing, and based on how I was treated at the front desk, I would think twice before booking here again.

Good enough
Pros:

It was right off the freeway, salt grass was next door walking distance if you wanted to grab dinner there. Target was down the road. I enjoyed my free upgrade from booking for a high rise city view.

Cons:

I did not like the layout of the room. I expected something different from what the photos show on booking. However, we made it work.

Over all a decent hotel with an awesome restaurant across the way for convenience.
Pros:

I thought the staff went out of their way to assure that the hotel was clean. I thought it was very convenient that the hotel provided continental breakfast.

Cons:

However, the hotel appeared a little dated.

The best Hyatt Place in the Dallas area.
Pros:

This Hyatt Place hotel is the best of the Hyatt Place in Dallas, Texas. Over the past 4 years I have stayed at all of them, this one is excellent. The stand out feature is the quality of the breakfasts provided. Arturo, the chef, does a great job of providing simple but quality food to the hotel guests. The hotel is very clean and everything work.

Great service and a comfortable stay
Pros:

The employees at this hotel, especially Patti, the general manager, and Arturo, went above to ensure that our stay was comfortable. The rooms were clean and comfortable, although the hotel is showing its age. Could use a refresh with the decor, but really no complaints the functioning of the hotel itself. I would stay here again in a heartbeat
