The room was too hot no aircon

Carpets dirty in a lot of places, rooms too hot , jacuzzi and sauna not working, shower too hot , couldn’t control the dials , very dangerous, very dated , we paid for this hotel for the spa facilities and they were broke , didn’t get any help from reception man , said it wasn’t down to the hotel, speak to receptionist on leisure desk

We are given a room that was very Smokey and there was no WiFi
Lovely setting
Bathroom had heavy mould on the ceiling, “spa” wasn’t really a spa as sauna, steam room and jacuzzi were all not working. Also the bed was just 2 singles pushed together.
Ive stayed many times due to proximity of my sons hospital. Good value, all rooms are good. APART from Room 8.
Very noisy due to live generator directly outside, plus bright light with no black out curtain .

Floors hazardous
Plenty of parking (although the Sat Nav took me down a single track lane to the back of the hotel) where there was no way through to the hotel, Room was OK. Breakfast was OK. Bed was comfortable. It was very hot outside, there was no aircon but the room didn't get that hot with th window open overnight. Staff were friendly.
If you want to get away from it all and have a quiet life this is a place to go. If you are on a business trip forget it. Two major problems 1) there is no mobile phone coverage. I was directed to a place down a corridor where I managed to get a single bar on my phone, not great for business calls! 2) the wifi is not secure, and it didn't work in my room and only seemed to work in reception. Room was OK, but the bathroom not so great. The floor was like skating on ice, and that was when it was dry. The shower was above a bath only suitable for a 10 year old. Better to rip it out and put in a walk in shower.
