No other place to stay in Madison
Pros:

Gathering in Madison for blended family reunion (ten folk over three generations). Daughter and her family live in Madison, my wife and I came from Virginia, my wife's son and family came from New Mexico. Always stay at AVID (check out Google review from last year). Only short stay as we all head to the Dells and up to Green Bay. Appreciated the welcome as a loyal IHG member. Free gift and great parking appreciated. But the real shout out goes to Bella and Nich. Arriving around 11 p.m. got the benefit of them both being at front desk for shift change. Both were perfect hosts, every question answered. C-suite take notice, top staff = top service. Perfect.

Barebones no frills.
Pros:

Staff wonderful. But: No microwave in rooms. No ice bucket. No coffee in room. No pen, no paper. Stripped bare. Mobility accessible is roomy. Roll-in shower superb. Bathroom fabulous.
