Contemporary, clean, comfortable. Perfect for an overnight stay.
Pros:

We like the clean, contemporary aesthetic of this hotel. The beds are super comfortable and the showers are great. Front desk people are professional and friendly.

Avid Hotel is beautiful for its standard and the staff were very friendly
Pros:

I like the location, it shows the other side of Madison other than city centre. The staff is very friendly and joyous to be around.

Cons:

Same breakfast everyday is too much especially if you are staying for more days. I wish cleaning should be everyday without asking. I hated coming back at night finding a dirty room because I forgot to request for cleaning. Even when you request for cleaning, they just make up the bed and go.

Just overall a nice place to stay while attending the Quilt Show
Pros:

Just a real nice and clean place. Also the walk in shower was nice. Nice to have places for suitcases.

Not to have some type of living room chair in the room.

Pros:

I like the location. There’s plenty of things to do and in walking distance. The view from the window on the 5th floor was nice as well. Overall the room was nice and clean.

Cons:

The breakfast was worse than what I expected. I’m not sure who eats bacon bits for breakfast but that was an interesting discovery. The eggs were decent but very rubbery. Not sure what the cooking style was.

No other place to stay in Madison
Pros:

Gathering in Madison for blended family reunion (ten folk over three generations). Daughter and her family live in Madison, my wife and I came from Virginia, my wife's son and family came from New Mexico. Always stay at AVID (check out Google review from last year). Only short stay as we all head to the Dells and up to Green Bay. Appreciated the welcome as a loyal IHG member. Free gift and great parking appreciated. But the real shout out goes to Bella and Nich. Arriving around 11 p.m. got the benefit of them both being at front desk for shift change. Both were perfect hosts, every question answered. C-suite take notice, top staff = top service. Perfect.
