We will be returning if given the opportunity
Pros:

Augustina was an absolute angel, incredibly kind & welcoming. The room itself was gorgeous, with a glass wall dividing the room from the bathroom & a stunning view of the port. We loved the location and will definitely return if given the opportunity!

Cons:

Bathroom has clearly been renovated but some of it appears a bit rushed / caulking and raw edges around the bath but nothing that effected the usability

Cosy room in Hobart’s best location
Pros:

We stayed in a beautiful room in the Gladstone St location of Moss (Moss is spread across two locations, both on/off Salamanca Place). Our loft room had two skylights rather than a window, so there was no view, but it felt very cosy.

The green tiled bathroom was beautiful! The minibar was well stocked. The bed was super comfortable.

Great location with plenty of bars, cafes, restaurants only a stone’s throw away.

We spoke with three different people on reception during our stay and each were lovely and very helpful.

Cons:

Like a lot of hotel rooms, there was no full length mirror.

Fabulous location. Comfy rooms with great bathrooms. Close to everything.
Pros:

Excellent location. Fabulous design with nods to heritage elements. Easy check in and check out.

Cons:

Loft rooms only have windows that look to the sky. If you want views to Salamanca ask for rooms with windows to the bay.
No lounge area or bar but Manky Sally’s is just downstairs and a groovy place to hand out in the afternoons.

The best place to stay for Dark mofo and Salamanca
Pros:

The Moss is always my most favourite space to stay in Hobart, its like walking into a big hug. The beds are divine, there is an air of luxury in the decor and the heritage vibe is wonderful.

Cons:

n/a if anything the accessible room is not my preference as seeing through to someone on the toilet is awkward

Hidden gem in historic Salamanca!
Pros:

Moss is a hidden gem in beautiful Salamanca. We chose the internal pod room over Dark Mofo weekend and the room provided a relaxing escape from the festivities of the Hobart waterfront. Excellent location and beautifully designed hotel.

Cons:

We have stayed with Moss on several occasions. Needing a little refresh here and there, but very minor complaint.

Pros:

My second time here. It is a beautiful building and an incredibly comfortable and aesthetically pleasing stay...it just lacks.... hotel staff interaction, I feel a little unseen here.
