Excellent food and location.
Pros:

The location was excellent in terms of accessibility and its pretty views. The bar area is comfortable and welcoming. The food is excellent; extensive menu and beautifully presented. The staff were all very helpful.

Cons:

The facilities are a little tired; would benefit from a refurbishment.

My wife asked for continental breakfast the selection was small and had to wait 20 minutes for a croissant which was unacceptable and there were no danish pastries.

Pros:

Wish I lived closer to the course.
Pros:

Played golf on 31.01.26. Have played here before and cannot recommend the course enough. In fabulous condition for the time of year. A lot of bunkers were designated as ground under repair which tells me the commitment to ongoing improvements. Lovely, true greens, tee boxes are very good. Welcoming staff. Thoroughly recommended. Can’t wait to play there again.

No golf for us but a fab stay
Pros:

You don’t have to be golfers to have a lovely stay. With our fox terrier, Floss, we had a one night in Room 22. The room was large and on the ground floor. It had all the facilities you need for a short stay: kettle, tea bag’s etc, hair dryer. Lovely king size bed, very comfortable mattress and bedding. En-suite had a shower over the bath. Shower pressure was very good. Didn’t like the shampoo and shower gel fixed to the stand but hey ho. No dog bed, bowls or treats supplied for the dog but we had our own anyway. We had dinner in the bar (calamari for him and chicken pie for me) both very nicely presented and very tasty. Next morning we enjoyed a cooked breakfast (also nicely presented and good quality). All staff we came across were welcoming and friendly. We had a very lovely time and left there feeling we’d enjoyed a treat.

Pros:

Amazing location - overlooking The Mere and only minutes to
the beach. All of the staff were friendly and helpful.

Cons:

Rooms were clean and spacious but in need of a little update in places.
