Great hotel and staff with an ideal location.
Pros:

Location is great for exploring the Commons with all the restaurants in walking distance. It was a good base for exploring the Finger Lakes Region. Rate of 9 would be a 10 with better parking.

Cons:

Parking is non-existent or horrible. Two blocks away. Unsecured parking with no elevator (5 floors) or security. I would not let my wife walk to the lot alone.

Pros:

It was clear to me that more staff was needed - the staff performed very well nonetheless. The room was nicely laid out and the coffee maker was great. The room was very quiet and I appreciated having a water dispenser in the floor. American food is far too salty.

Cons:

The phone in one of the rooms, 405, is wireless but did not function because of the depleted rechargeable battery. There is most likely a charging problem - either the battery won't take a charge or it is not being given a charge. Only the speaker phone worked. Somehow, my daughter was able to throw the deadbolt lock on the room door when exiting the room. Thankfully, my son was in this room and could undo the deadbolt. There were ants on the table at breakfast.

Pros:

The rooms were spacious and clean. Great location. Most of the staff are friendly. The food at the restaurant was good.

Cons:

This is the second time we stayed at this hotel and had breakfast. There was only one server and the wait to be seated, get the food and pay was not reasonable. It would have been nice to add an additional server for breakfast.

Great location and place to stay
Pros:

Great location in easy walking distance to the Commons and other Ithaca town features. Nice atmosphere in the lobby. Friendly and helpful staff. Room was cozy with nice features for luggage and other putting away other items.

Nothing. All good.

Off site parking. Directed to one of 3 parking garages that were on other streets. As a first time visitor to Ithaca, not knowing the streets, this was very annoying.
