Ein sehr schönes Hotel am Eingang der Altstadt
Pros:

Sehr schön zentral gelegen, Altstadt schnell und einfach zu Fuß zu erreichen. Zimmer sind groß und gut eingerichtet. Sauberkeit war top, Personal sehr freundlich.

L'hôtel est très moderne et très bien placé pour visiter la ville.
Le restaurant propose des plats de très bonne qualité et le petit déjeuner est très bien fourni avec des ingrédients de qualité.

Extremely disappointing experience — undisclosed €100 "deposit" that still hasn't been refunded

I stayed at this property in Riga with my room and breakfast fully prepaid in advance. Despite that, at check-in the hotel charged an additional €100 hold on my card.

When I asked why, I was told this amount was meant to cover potential purchases at the hotel. I never asked for this, never agreed to it, and I don't understand why a hotel should assume I need €100 available "just in case" I decide to buy something on-site. For Latvia, that is not a small amount, and for some guests it could easily be their last available funds.

What made this far worse was checkout. Instead of releasing the hold immediately, staff told me they first needed to "check the room" before returning the money. I had to insist on an immediate cancellation of the transaction and asked for written confirmation that the funds were released.

It has now been 5 days since that cancellation was supposedly processed, and the €100 still has not been returned to my account!!!!

I can only imagine how many guests simply forget about this charge, assuming it will "sort itself out," because most people don't want the hassle of calling their bank to dispute it. Whether intentional or not, this practice feels predatory and completely unacceptable for a hotel of this brand.

I will not be returning to this property, and I'd strongly encourage others to ask about hidden holds before booking.

Pros:

I really liked the location of the hotel. It was close to all the places I wanted to visit, so I was able to tour all the places I had listed before my trip. The staff were really kind and friendly, and I felt safe staying here by myself. I also requested a taxi for my early morning flight, and it arrived even earlier than expected. The room was perfect, and I honestly didn't expect the view to be so incredible. I wish I could have stayed longer. I would stay here again the next time I visit Riga.

A pleasant stay.
Pros:

Spacious room with wide single beds. Beds a bit stiff but overall confortable. But you need min 2 pillows here. Clean, including toilets flush buttons. Light switches near bed turn lights off in the entire room including corridor. Very good air conditioner.

Cons:

Noisy lobby because of noisy refrigerators to buy snacks. Very noisy and next to elevator.

Rahat ettik. Sakin temiz konforlu otel.
Pros:

Merkezi, güzel konumda. Old Town merkezi, yürüyerek heryere gidilir.Odalar temiz, kahvaltı iyi sayılır.

Cons:

Gittiğimizde resepsiyondaki gözlüklü görevli çok yordu bizi. Sanırım yeniydi. Ancak resepsiyondaki diğer kadınlar ve erkekler harikaydı.
