The place was lovely, so clean the staff were amazing and the room was gorgepus
As a big guy, I really struggled to fit in the shower. The door meant I had to really squeeze myself in to the taps and really breath in to close it.
Perfect location close to Kings Cross. Very good breakfast, charming rooms.
Our room was partly located under the reception desk / bar / breakfast area, so there was quite some noise also during the night.
Location, decor, cleanliness. Staff very friendly and helpful.
One small issue, whoever was working overnight covering reception was listening to music on their phone while on reception. We could hear it in our room (room 3). Was probably around 4-5am!
There is not a lot we liked
The location is good but unfortunately for our stay St pancras tube was closed due to building/construction. We had emailed ahead for a safe storage for our bags as we arrived at 11am and could not check in until 3pm, abrupt staff took our bags and it was just ticketed and put in a public seating area with no security, once we realised we took our ipads out and carried them with us for the afternoon and when we approached our bags and took out ipads no staff saw us do this or were present which made us believe no staff would see if a stranger took our goods. Breakfast was just continental help yourself canteen feel no option for cooked breakfast, room was clean but small, one of the worst things that would stop us going back is opposite is a park/square, which had immigrants hanging around a strong smell of weed and late night screeching and noise from loitering in the park, sadly this may be the case with most parks in london at night now days but i did not feel comfortable walking back to the hotel late at night with the park opposite and the night time activities, sadly this situation is likely out of the hands of the owners so no disrespect to them but we would not choose this hotel again.
The location and the bath!
The hotel is noisy. The walls are thin. You hear every door slamming shut, you hear people running up and down the stairs. To complete the experience more sound proofing would be great… like a premier inn!
Beautiful boutique style. Our room was very comfortable with a lovely outside terrace space
THE NOISE. One room was number 5, which is located directly under the reception/bar/breakfast area. We could hear every footstep and creaking chair. The noise was constant during the night but got progressively worse before breakfast service.
There is a strange vibe with the staff. They are not rude in any way but they are not friendly or welcoming either.
I did contact the hotel regarding our sleepless night and they offered us an upgrade on a future visit. Not really good enough.
Ambiente in stile boutique
Poco spazio per l’armadio e senza ascensore
Comfortable bed but small. The room is nicely decorated. Small shower. Only stayed one night to catch a very early train. Would stay there again and ask for two twin beds rather then a small queen which was more like a full size bed. There is no elevator so it's a challenge taking the stairs with luggage.
Small bed. Didn't like the stairs.
Le concept, la décoration , le personnel très sympathique, le confort, l’emplacement, le petit déjeuner.
Rien.
Lovely and clean hotel very comphy bed to sleep in, staff were so polite and very helpful.
The only downside is no lift to the floor were your room is, was on the top floor and the wife struggled abit and had to stop a few times to catch her breath
Staff were really friendly and it’s in a great location for links. It’s got a lovely vibe, breakfast although continental was really good. The room was clean and cool with a good shower. Lots of extra details like cotton wool and complimentary water. Really liked it.
The area is a little intimidating with homeless people in the square and as a woman alone I got slightly hassled. Not aggressively though. Also carrying cases up the narrow staircase in the heat was tricky. No lift.
I had an excellent stay at The Gyle Hotel in London. It’s a stylish boutique hotel with a genuinely friendly vibe, and the complimentary hot drinks, pastries, and fruit were a lovely surprise.
The rooms may be small, but they’re beautifully put together, and the beds — crisp sheets and fluffy duvets — were wonderfully comfortable.
Being just steps from King’s Cross makes it the perfect base for getting around London.
I’d highly recommend it.
